What is a sleep apnea test?

ANSWER

A sleep apnea test, also called a polysomnogram, electronically records what happens while you sleep. This test can be done at a clinic or at home. A sleep specialist studies the recording to see if you have sleep apnea or a different sleep disorder.

If you have sleep apnea, you may need further tests to help your doctor find the best treatment options.
