Former Congressman Tony Coelho achieved national prominence as chairman of the Gore presidential campaign, but recently resigned from the campaign to dedicate himself full-time to the battle against epilepsy. Long an advocate for persons with disabilities, Coelho was the original House of Representatives sponsor of the Americans with Disabilities Act. He is vice president of the National Task Force on Employment of Adults with Disabilities and a member of the board of directors of the Epilepsy Foundation.
