I just want to point out that the authors of this site don't understand how puerh is supposed to be consumed. The leaves are infused multiple times. Caffeine, which is significantly less than coffee, is usually steeped out within the first couple of infusions, with minimal amounts in later infusion. 4 cups of puerh when brewed in this standard manner still contains significantly less caffeine total than what is present in a single cup of coffee. That said, brewed with new leaves for every cup is still going to vary depending on puerh, some of which has a lot of caffeine (though still not nearly as much per cup as coffee), but others have less than 10% total of the caffeine of coffee. I'll add, that a lot of my caffeine related side effects (mood swings, joint pain) are significantly less after switching from my 2-3 mugs coffee a day to my 5-7 mugs puerh a day (usually this is how many good infusions you can get from a single 5-7 gram serving of dry leaves).Read More Read Less

The taste is magnificent. I do keto diet and of course you have to be careful about your levels of cholesterol. Yes, fart is very good, but excess of fat is harmful as well. So this tea offers a very pleasant alternative of coffee to reduce stomach and liver fat.

It's always annoying when there are articles like this that contract all the research on a particular supplement or food based only on supposition but never based on any research. Saying pu-erh tea could possibly increase blood sugar when all the research clearly shows the opposite is just idiotic and reaffirms my view about this site as being useless as a reference point of information about any supplement or vitamin that could be helpful

I'm commenting to correct information in the description. Oolong and black tea are not fermented. They are oxidized by enzymes in the leaf. Pu Erh tea is the only tea type that undergoes both oxidization and microbial activity in its preparation and so, is fermented.

This is a tea that mixes very well with a fruit juice. I don't like to drink fruit juice by itself because it is too sweet and too acidic. I can drink this tea mixed with juice all day and stay hydrated. More economical than bottled fruit teas. I like Red Mansion and Golden Seal brand tea bags the best. The loose tea and brick tea are too messy to deal with and super pricey.
