I am 55 years old estrogen positive for breast cancer .03 cm and it works fantastic. This medication helps reduce, but does not eliminate, my pattern of reaction to xenoestrogen exposure. Unfortunately it also produces anti-estrogen side effects such as hot flashes, irritability, muscle cramps and excess appetite. I am having to use it sparingly and taking an extra mg. of estradiol on days I use it.

Taking for pms. Hormone testing showed poor conversion of estrogen by the liver. NP suggested this and it's working fantastically. Unintended side effect...I can drink socially without getting sick.

As a 60+ male, I start using Andro-gel (5 mg) per day and over very happhy with the results, BUT a well know side effect is the potential to increase Estradriol and started to develope the 'boobs' (not a good trade off, but it depend on which is more important to you). My estradriol shot up to unacceptable levels (56-100). After a couple of months, it has gone back to a good level (<20). I have not shown any side effects that have been noted here. It is a trade off, but it may be a way to have your cake and eat it too. Good LuckRead More Read Less
