I was prescribed this product by my neurologist for my migraine. I would frequently get what he called migraine status, a majority bad migraine that would last for weeks. I have two separate forms I take. I take three injections a day for three days every few months. I also have a nasal spray that I can take up too eight times a month in between shots. The only time they don't work well ...

I have encephalomalacia, and have suffered a few serious head injuries since the ones leading up to that diagnosis. Been told embolic inschim lead to this with my head injuries, and my blood clot moved at one point. I don't recall much about taking these from a neurologist 3 years ago, save they made my symptoms worse, and I definitely kept taking more than I was supposed to in a month to try to and get going again. I am being prescribed them again by my neurologist - part of the Alberta Neurological Centre - and they help with part of my migrane, yet my face is warm, and the left half of my face hurts worse now. I feel like I need to lay down, yet laying down makes my head worse too. If you have pains in the other half of your body from your head injury, with different sensations in each half, dropping face, and occular issues going over your head into your spine, I would not recommend them. Definitely worse overall. This was hard to type, vs before taking them and typing.Read More Read Less

It is extremely unlikely that ergot poisoning had any link to the Salem Witch Trials, which were caused by religious extremism and greed. Repeating misinformation only spreads it.

I have two separate forms I take. I take three injections a day for three days every few months. I also have a nasal spray that I can take up too eight times a month in between shots. The only time they don't work well is if we have a rainy period right after I take them. Rain seems to be a major trigger of my headaches. I would also like to note that although I had infrequent migraines when I was younger they never reached the point they are at now until I was in a major car accident 6 years ago. I broke the window with my head and other than getting 17 staples in my scalp, I was never treated for anything else, no x- rays, no ct scans, nothing. Read More Read Less
