I am a senior systems analyst by trade. I observe things. I am also a Sundancer. At a sundance in Sd it was over 102. I was helping out and taking a diurectic for HBP. I got dehydrated and had to stop the diuretic. I was already sick but I was honor bound to dance even onto my death. On the day I had to go in, I told the Sundance leader I was really sick and my blood pressure was extreme but I had...

I consumed 6 or 7 peyote buttons one night, and it cleared up my severe rheumatoid arthritis in my large joints for 24 hours. The inflammation came back, but it was a nice break. I find that most psychedelics that I have tried reduce the amount of inflammation in my joints for as long as they are in my system, and sometimes for a little bit longer. 2 stars for ease of use because peyote tastes gro...

It really improved my quality of life in most ways. The clarity it brings is unmatched.

I suffer from extreme PTSD from military service, and peyote saved me from suicide. Many things on this site are exaggerated significantly. Peyote is an incredibly important tool and should be reintegrated into modern medicine. Note: peyote is not called “magic mushrooms”. It is not a fungus whatsoever; Magic mushrooms are generally part of the psilocybe genus.

On the day I had to go in, I told the Sundance leader I was really sick and my blood pressure was extreme but I had to dance. He told me to wait in a TP. In a moment he came back with a wiry little guy in a skirt with a large strange tattoo over his heart. He bent down and picked up, what looked like a toe, and sliced a tiny sliver off of the plant. It was no more than an inch long and maybe a quarter inch thick. He told me to place it under my tongue and suck on it. He said I would get a little sick just for a moment and then I would be OK. I did it, upchucked just a little, and then began feeling OK. In a half an hour, I took my blood pressure and it was really, really good and I felt better. My vision seemed a little sharper and I kept my promise. The blodd pressure lowering effect lasted 36 hours. Later, the sundance leader told me he was a medicine man from South America. The medicine he gave me was peyote. The tattoo on his chest was an unbeleivably detailed peyote plant. His people called it "heart medicine" in his people's language. It is used to REGULATE the circulatory system rather than mask the symptomolgy of HBP which simply says the system is out of balance. When you understand this view of the human as a system consisting of a set of sub-systems that must be kept in balance to obtain optimal health. Totally different and more effective than the technological witchcraft practiced by so-called "western medicine." You ought to see the "medical care" disabled vets get, its a laugh. Best patient outcome is not a priority for the VA. Its the same old "patch them up and get them out to stop another bullet." Thank you for your attention I trust I have not been too boring.
