I was taking Flomax, an Rx and wanted to get on something non-perscrip. I have been using the Beta Sitosterol for over a year now and am very pleased. No more night trips to the bathroom. Also, no undesired side effects.

I had prostate surgery for cancer to remove it. My cancer indicator was higher than normal PSA - 5+. Biopsy showed 3 of 6 samples cancerous. Took betasitosterol for the month before surgery and biopsy of removed prostate showed only 1% cancer. Consulting with a friend with prostate cancer, a retired pharmicist, recommemded surgery plus take betasitosterol until sugery. No cancer found in the removed prostate but the spouse didn't tell the surprised lab results her spouse took bsitosterol. 2 experiences of reduced or no cancer left after surgery.Read More Read Less

take Phytosterols by Bayer 400mg with breakfast and dinner. Lowered my cholesterol and LDL. no side effects experienced. did not help in any other area that I am aware of

lowered my levels by 30 in less than 6 months. when I stopped taking it for 3 months my C/levels became higher, even when continued moderate exercise and diet were also observed. I resumned a 650mg intake a day, morning, and my C/level again dropped to my target level 200. I read that it may deplete Vit A, carefully adding more foods containing A to diet.(Phytosterol concentrate 650mg ---as Beta Sitosterol 300mg,campesterol 163mg,stigmasterol 117mg)

I HAVE BEEN USING B-SITOSTEROL FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS. RESULTS ARE IMPROVING FOR THE PROSTRATE. I UP TO 480MG PER DAY AND WILL INCREASE TO 600MG PER DAY NEXT WEEK. WILL CONTINUE TO REPORT PROGRESS AS NEEDED.
