Recently I experienced a case of Temporal Arteritis. Never had anything like this before. It went on for 3 days of excruciating pain in my temporal area of my head. No sleep, and completely disabling. (800mg)White Willow Bark with a 1/2 caffeine tablet(100mg)twice a day was the only thing that worked for me. I have used MSM, Glucosamine & white willow bark to help with joints on myself along family & friends. It always worked & out performed others. The white willow bark was the variation that made it work. As far as not studied, it was heavily studied otherwise aspirin would not have been created.

Obviously the fact that asiprin was derived from willow bark is completely unknown to the person who said 'there is no scientific knowledge..." Just another pharma puppet, talking out their A__, buut hey, you can believe them, they have the corporation's best interest at heart. just like the doctors in Salem, Mass in 1692 did.

I have various joint issues with my hands for various years, and had painful aching and inflammation which anti-inflammatories only took the edge off. I have been taking 2 capsules of white willow bark a day for the last few years, and my hands are so much better now. Know it definitely works, as ran out once and had to wait several days before I could get more, and within 2 days of not taking the tablets my hands were back to their painful and stiff state. No side effects, which is great!

First time trying. Relieved gum pain from biting hard crust. Made tea: 1 tbsp, 8oz. boiling water poured on top, steep 5 min and drink. Actually it seemed to work quicker than regular aspirin. Grateful to have a natural pain relief.

I take objection to the phrasing "But there is no good scientific evidence to show that it works as well as aspirin for these conditions." Is there good evidence that it doesn't? If we don't know either way the correct statement would be that it has not been properly evaluated for these conditions. It would state the situation without adding a pejorative connotation.

During the night I just take Turmeric with the White Willow and sleep comes easy. Prognosis is good and this condition usually ends in 5-14 days. As a rock-climber, ice-climber and mountaineer, I also use it for treatment of sore back, muscles, joints and inflammation after a long hard climb in the mountains. It stays in my medical kit when on multi-day trips. I've even used it on sprains and strains to help the injury heal faster and as an anti-coagulant to prevent blood clots. Read More Read Less

I have used white willow bark on and off for more than ten years. I take 1,200 mg at each dose for my spinal stenosis and 6 herniated disc. It is the only thing I take for pain. If I take it before bed and sleep pain free at night. I have never had a side effect from using this. It works well for any type of body pain except for a migraine. I use NOW brand white willow bark.

I only take one in the morning and one at bedtime and half my arthritis medication in the afternoon. The White Willow has allowed me to get 6 hours of continuous sleep without pain that was not possible with just the arthritis meds and little pain during the day.

I have chronic pain from a stiffness around my hip ... just by chance I found Willow Bark ... and already after taking it 3 times I could walk without pain ... first I was more than astonished and was not sure why it happens because I take a lot of vitamins as well ... but after reading about Willow Bark I could understand what is going on. I hope that Willow Bark will help me further.
