I've noticed significant improvement in my memory, concentration, energy, and critical thinking skills. I'm also noticing an increase in muscle strength, ROM, and reflex time. After being sick with an illness that has affected my overall energy and muscle functionality for almost two years, I now feel like I'm getting my health and life back. I should note that I'm being treated for the illness/dis...

It's a question... Why do my capsules from Amino Lab say 500mg, when everyone suggests taking 100mg or much less per day. Am i missing something?

I have been on pregnenolone for 2 months now with a dosage of 30mg plus another 20 mg of DHEA. AMAZING results so far in terms of restoring my concentration, giving me energy to levels I didn't think I was ever capable of.

As a male 69 years old in great shape and living on berries and fish and green leafy chinese vegetables (wife is chinese)....i have perfect blood pressure. I want to help others about the use of Pregnenolone. I see supplement companies offering 50mg, 100mg etc...same with DHEA....I would like to warn you about taking such a high dose!...Don't do it, unless a Doctor prescribes it.....What works for me is Cutting in 1/2 a 5mg tab five days a week. Taken sublingually when i first wake up. I keep it right next to my bed.. Sat and Sunday i rest from it. So please start REALLY small and see how u react....too much and you'll get a "race-y heart" and feel terrible..and don't think this is for ED...but it will help your brain feel clear and help to keep your muscles firm longer after a work out..it gives me an over sense of well being and i hope thats what we all want! So be well and be careful with it....just listen to your body. Read More Read Less

I am 65yo. I started taking Pregnenolone 100mg capsules when I was 64yo. I find I don’t need to take extra BHRT Estrogens, DHEA, Testosterone while taking Pregnenolone. Bio lab Pro makes Pregnenolone in a 2.5mg Cream, which I have switched to and take every morning. It keeps me mentally alert, and I find it calming and relaxing.

I had a friend recommend pregnenolone because her doctor told her about it. I decided to try it because of fatigue, brain fog, low energy, hair loss, and poor skin quality. My friend started at 90mg but after a lot of research I decided to start at 50mg. This dosage was WAY too much for me. I started feeling a hormone forcefield much like being pregnant. The kind where you feel edgy and hyper sensitive even nauseous. I dropped down to 30mg and that seemed to work for a couple weeks before I started getting those same anxious symptoms. Finally, I dropped down to 10mg per day only in the mornings Mon-Fri and I felt great for 3 months and felt like I was in my 30s again. My brain fog cleared, my anxiety was more manageable, sex drive and quality was improved, and my emotions felt more regulated. After 3 months of that, I started seeing some skin issues like red cystic acne bumps on my arms. I stopped taking it for a few months but now I'm going back on it. Seems like it can build up in your body and you don't need as much as you go along so just make sure you are paying attention to changes you feel. I suggest starting low in the dose and go higher if you need to over time. Over all those 3 months of relative balance in my hormones and emotions was definitely worth it.Read More Read Less

My naturopath detected low levels of pregnenolone on a blood test, and prescribed me 20 mg daily cream. I never was a good sleeper, but Pregnenolone gave me the most horrible insomnia in my life. Regular sleeping pills like ambien didn't work. Sometimes I would be awake for the whole night. The worst thing is that this lasted for two months before getting better..

THE CREAM, Use the cream, and everyone will be happy. Pregnenolone is the grandmother of hormones, but the pills never did a thing for me. I am 79, and been using the this for about 9 years. I adjust it so I feel 'sexy' about once a week. Taking hormones is not a game. Too much can Lead to cancer. Rub some on lower abdomen but not inside. You need to learn to control your dose, Coincidentally, I take it once a week, and toss it after 6 months. Good luck. (Life-FIo) L am not connect to any company etc. Good Luck??Read More Read Less

This product does the opposite for me, it makes me drowsy. I am taking 25mg's at bedtime. Does anyone know why it makes me tired instead of energized???

I started taking DHEA when trying to recover from CFS. My hormones were very low, so I started taking this to boost Testosterone levels. I took it off and on for this reason. Later, after reading a Japanese study on ME/CFS about excitotoxocity in this disease which stated that several substances including DHEA and Pregnenolone were agonists that could clear NMDA receptors from being turned on by Glutamate, I started taking 75 mg per day with 100 mg of pregnenolone. After a month of this (and after many prior months of taking about half of that, I saw marked improvement in my brain feeling awake and suddenly not under pressure anymore. I think this not only cleared my brain of the ADD feeling it had and also cleared the inflammation in my midbrain that was messing up my circadian rhythm, etc.Read More Read Less

I was put on Pregnenolone because all more hormones were tanked. It has helped with fatigue, sleep and hot flashes. It has caused acne breakouts though.

I have to agree with the comments regarding dosing. I started with 30 mg along with bioidentical hormone cream to treat menopausal syndrome, I felt amazing with the first 2 doses then came severe insomnia with bad nightmares similar side effects to steroid use. I am going to try again with a much less dose agree with 5 to 10 mg to start.

I just started on prescription at 200 mg, 1 daily. Some comments say it can cause increased 'anger'. I'm wondering if 200 mg is too much to start with, or take.

I was dealing with severe adrenal fatigue (due to work stress) and had issues with memory. My dr. put me on 50 mg of pregnenalone daily. Have taken this for 2 years and feel terrific. I also take an adrenal supplement and 5 mg daily of dhea. Memory is good, muscle tone has improved and energy is normal.

Was prescribed a supplement by my doctor due to low pregnenolone lab result. He wanted to start me at 100mg but I am really sensitive to a lot of meds so started at 30mg for a month, then up to 60mg. I'm on hormone therapy, thyroid hormone, vitamins and minerals, for long term Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and long term fatigue and depression. Recently found out I had mono and 2 other infections. By the second month at 60mg I got agitated, angry, felt anxiety, trouble going to sleep, so I quit it. I've had some rebound the last 2 days but hope it doesn't last very long. Not a good med for me. I'm on prescription DHEA which I tolerate very well.Read More Read Less
