I have suffered from anxiety problems since adulthood. Red Wine has helped me relax and relieve tension on various occasions. It is, however, important to note that wine alone does not help. Healthy diet, lots of exercise and good sleep patterns also helped. Also, too much drinking can have opposite effect of anxiety problem.

I have found that drinking a DRY white wine such as Fume Blanc or Sauvignon Blanc, or a red wine such as Pinot Noir, it reduces my blood sugar. Pinot Noir also has the highest reservatrol of any other red wine I know. The chemical is found in the peel.

A glass or two eases anxiety and aids sleep. Careful not to have too much, though.
