Benjamin Wedro, MD

Benjamin Wedro, MD, is a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and practices at Gundersen Clinic, a regional trauma center in La Crosse, Wisc. His background includes undergraduate and medical studies at the University of Alberta, a family practice internship at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Wedro is a clinical professor in the department of medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He has previously held teaching appointments at the University of Oklahoma and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

As well as his practice in emergency medicine, Wedro has provided medical consultation at major international sporting events including the Winter and Summer Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, and the Pan Am Games. Wedro has also lectured throughout the U.S. and Europe and has presented research at a variety of medical conferences. He maintains a special interest in exercise physiology and athletic injuries and illnesses.
