What Does a Pollen Count Mean?

It tells you how much pollen -- specifically how many pollen grains per cubic meter -- is in the air that day. Basically, a low pollen count means most people who have pollen allergies won’t have too many symptoms. A high count means that people are more likely to have symptoms when they go outside. Knowing the pollen count can help you plan your day so that you’re not outside when the count is really high.
