American Veterinary Medical Association

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing more than 80,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services.

The AVMA has identified guest experts to provide veterinary advice to pet owners. They will not give diagnoses or make treatment recommendations, but instead provide “thought starters” to stimulate conversation and educate pet owners. The AVMA “Experts in Residence” will provide accurate and credible information.
