D. West Hamryka, DVM

After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1990, D. West Hamryka started his career with a referral practice in Miami. He later practiced as an emergency veterinarian in Brandon, Fla. In 1993, upon opening the Sugar Hill Animal Hospital, Hamryka fulfilled his dream of owning a state-of-the-art veterinary facility. He is past president of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, the Gwinnett county Veterinary Medical Association, and currently serves as a director for two local animal emergency clinics. His professional interests include internal medicine and orthopaedic surgery.
