Doris Day, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who maintains a solo private practice in New York City, specializing in laser, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She is a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at New York University Medical Center where she was presented with the award for Dedication and Excellence in the Teaching of Dermatology, and an award for volunteerism and leadership in dermatology. She is also affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and regularly participates in clinical trials and product development, including the Olay Professional Professional ProX line, of which she served as member of the medical alliance.
Day has researched, written, and spoken extensively in the area of cosmetic dermatology. She is a frequent guest on Good Morning America and has made several appearances on the Today Show, Ten Years Younger, and on the PBS network. She has also been featured in several hour-long documentaries on cosmetic procedures for the Discovery Channel. She is regularly quoted in major women’s magazines including W, In Style, Vogue, Glamour and Redbook. She writes a monthly column for Health magazine, and O, The Oprah Magazine profiled her as one of the nation’s top dermatologists.
Her most recent book is titled Forget the Facelift: Turn Back the Clock with Dr Day’s Revolutionary Four-Step Program for Ageless Skin. She has also completed a book for physicians on hyperpigmentation and one for both physicians and patients titled 100 Questions and Answers About Acne. She has also authored several chapters in various dermatology books. She is listed in the Doctors Who’s Who, has won awards for her work in laser research, and is on the advisory board for several major dermatology journals.
After graduating from Columbia University, she achieved her medical degree at Downstate Medical School in New York and completed her master's degree in journalism at New York University. She has been trained in medicine at New York University Medical Center and completed her residency in dermatology at Cornell University College of Medicine, with the title of chief resident and director of academic activities.
