I was diagnosed PMDD and after trying at least 10 different oral contraceptives, and the ring insert and going even more crazy, I finally gave up on any hope that I could have more than one good week a month. I have been taking Evening Primrose Oil once a day, with the exception of one month in the middle there, for about 6 months. I must say I have noticed dramatic results. And the one month that I didn't take it was horrible again. I am back on it now. Emotionally I am feeling so much better, especially around my t.o.m. I am so thankful this was recommended to me, even though I was skeptical at first, I am glad I tried it.Read More Read Less

I suffer from menopause. I use to wake up with night seats, extreme mood changes, hot then cold. Since I started using Evening Primrose Oil my symptoms began to subside gradually. It doesn't stop all syptoms but I rather take it than not. It has certainly made my life much happier!

A few months after getting a Mirena implant (IUD) I began to suffer from "permanent PMS": depression, irritability, cramps, bloating, acne, breast tenderness, irrigular cycles, fatigue, crying jags, sensitivies to light and sound and headaches. My doctor recommended trying Evening Primrose Oil for a month before deciding whether to have the IUD removed or not. I've been taking 500mg daily for a little over a month now and have noticed MARKED improvement in many of my symptoms. All of the emotional symptoms have practically disappeared. Physically, I still have some skin issues (though less severe), irrigular cycles (which I always have had) and mild cramps right before menstruation. I really am happily shocked by how effective this treatment has been for me and would recommend it to anyone suffering from PMS or other hormone related malady. Give it a try before giving up - I'm certainly glad that I did. Read More Read Less
