I take ~25mg (1/2 pill) as a sleep aid. Takes about 10-15 min. to start working before I slip into the wonderful semi-conscious state of relaxation for a few minutes before falling asleep. No trouble waking or that hungover feeling some people experience. You just have to find the right dose for you. Hang in there...

before i began taking trazadone,i took ambien, and lunesta. they did not work. before i started those i had not slept a full night in probably 15 years. since i have been on trazadone i still have some trouble every now and again but there has been significant improvement. i have been taking it for around 2 years now at 50mg. i take it 1-2 hrs before bedtime and have no trouble waking up.one thing ... after months of poor sleep i finally saw my doctor. trazodone has helped me fall asleep and those night i wake in the early morning hours, i can fall back to sleep easily. i feel so much better overall.

my dr. suddenly stopped refilling my trazadone and i was off of them for over a week, then i had to reduce the amount i was used to, now i have heavy depression and anxiety and have awful muscle cramps, is this withdrawel..I was taking the maximum dose 300 mg a night , now i take 150 a night it's the only antidepressant i can take
