I haven't smoked in 52 days, but there is no way I can continue this medication. Besides the stomach issues, I have wild mood swings and am lashing out at people for minor things. I am also exhausted all the time. I read a recent newspaper article that indicated that Chantix could cause or intensify depression and/or anxiety; so, I can only hope that in a few days my energy level rebounds a ... I have been on this for 3 weeks. I have cut down from 1 pack to 1/2 pack a day. Maybe it's working a little bit. I still have a strong craving. Not the miracle drug I've heard so much about. Everyone else who left a comment is female. I'm wondering if it is more effective on women for some reason.

On the other hand I was smoking about a pack to a pack and a half a day and now I am smoking less than 8 (I have my grandmother, whom I live with, hold my pack and she was told by me, not to give me anymore than 8 a day. Lately, she doesn't have to give me 8, I still have a few left over from the day before, but I never ... Show Full Comment

Finally, a product that is really effective. I am a 61 y/o woman who smoked one to one and a half pks a day for 46 years. I tried every product out there, multiple times w/o success. Chantix works in the addiction center of the brain which in turns stops the craving for tobacco. So, it is not that I never had the willpower to quit before and failed ---- it was that other methods did not treat t ... Show Full Comment
