I took Movieprep for my colonoscopy prep. I'm a 51 yr old female RN. I was actually terrified to take it after reading all the horror stories about it, that is why I'm reviewing it so others that read this will realize its not that bad. It's not easy, but its doable. It's one evening, you can do it! Drinking is the worst part of the whole prep, as you've had liquids all day, and all you really...

This "drug" is garbage! From the first sip it gagged me while trying to drink it no matter what was added to it and when it came out the other end it burned my rectum so badly I was bleeding! Sure, its easy to use but it is what it does to you once it is inside you that is the real issue here! I've worked in medicine in a medical office for 24 years. I know how pharmaceutical reps sell their wares...

Colonoscopy pm. Yes it worked - too much. I had to visit toilet about 40 times over a 4 hour period! This was the evening before mixture. Next morning mixture, same experience but visited loo only about 20 times, again over a 4 hour period! This can't be right.

Taking Moviprep was easier than drinking the alternative, greater volume prep. The prep is not anything to look forward to, but neither is it a big deal. I took it while watching a movie. It was almost like having a lemonade.

This was my first experience using movi prep - I was prescribed it for a colonoscopy prep. Overall had no issues with it. People let's face it this is not cocktail hour it's a medical procedure prep. I mixed the movi prep with orange flavored Gatorade and chilled it as recommended by my health care provider and drank it with all straw - all good tips to make it less "disgusting." Sucked on hard candy after the dosings snd drank 16 oz of water (you need to follow these instructions). It was rough drinking the second round but I finish it all and had a successful cleansing and colonoscopy. I would recommend to others preparing for a colonoscopy to be mindful of your eating the few days before - if you already have good eating habits this will be easy. if you decide to splurge on meals the day before to make up for what is essentially a fast day you will have a rougher time. What goes in must come out!! Also the Gatorade and chilling of solution is a must. Read More Read Less

OMG...after reading how awful the prep experience is on the Internet, I was quite anxious for my 1st colonoscopy. Seriously people...it wasn't that bad. I found the refrigerated prep to be very easy to drink with a straw. To me it tasted like salty lemonade...not a big deal! By the 3rd line, I had my 1st bowel movement. After that, the whole bathroom thing was not as traumatic as some have described. It definitely is nothing like having diarrhea when you're sick. I will DEFINITELY use Moviprep again in the future!!Read More Read Less

Ok , my review - it is odd tasting but a sip of plain water takes the taste away immediately and sometimes you just have to get on with it . It worked for me and I managed to paint my toes nails ( small bathroom ) , have a face mask and sort make up box out . Used the time constructively ! Wish me luck for tomorrow ! C x

My goodness I have never read so many pathetic reviews in my life !! Just buck up and get on with it, what matters what it tastes like and really it was not bad at all. Be greatful you have the doctors to treat you .Obviously you will have to run to the loo every moment if you are empting yourself in a couple of hours and ergo you will feel a bit wobbly and shivery . What on earth do you expect Again just get on with it and be thankful.

Absolutely horrible!!! So powerful, it exploded through my system from 9pm - 2:30am. I had to be within 2 feet of toilet at all times. I slept on the bathroom floor as I didn't know when it would stop. I could not wear pants. Everything got soiled. I would never use or recommend this product. I am a nurse. It was the worst thing ever. My doctor ordered it through my pharmacy.

What a pleasant surprise. After much fear of taking this it was absolutely a breeze. I mixed the first quart as instructed and chilled it in the fridge. I drank it in a 16 oz. glass full of ice using a straw. The taste is not bad at all. It started working after drinking the 3rd 8 ounces. After just 2 1/2 hours I was sleeping. The second quart was even easier and I made it back to sleep again. No side effects whatsoever. The pharmacist said this was the best prep and he was right.

MoviPrep was easy to swallow, taste wasn't bad, worked quickly and effectively. After mixing solution, cooled in refrigerator a couple hours ahead of time and used a straw. Although a little costly, I would definitely use this prep again. I've had many colonoscopies over the past 25 years and used many different preps. This has been by far the best one.

Sure, its easy to use but it is what it does to you once it is inside you that is the real issue here! I've worked in medicine in a medical office for 24 years. I know how pharmaceutical reps sell their wares and the maker of this junk has snowed the doctors into thinking this is the best thing since sliced bread! It is disgusting and what worries me is what it has done to my insides because I have had trouble ever since the procedure. People say go back to the gastro guy but that's not happening because he believes the company over my firsthand experience! I worry about ever having to have the procedure again just because of this prep! I have told everyone, the doctor, the pharmaceutical company, and anyone who will listen - DON'T EVER TAKE A PRESCRIPTION FOR THIS GARBAGE!!!! Ask for something else, anything else! If there was a class action suit against the pharmaceutical company I would be most happy to join and sue the pants off these folks! It is apparent they have never tried this god-awful junk! This happens only when the bottom line (pardon the pun) is the only thing that is important - the money! Read More Read Less

After 2 days on a low fibre diet, on the 3rd day I mixed this with a small amount of orange squash in the afternoon and kept it in the fridge to chill. I began to drink it a 5pm through a straw, the taste is okay around 7.20pm after drinking water it began to work and boy what a result It felt like a flush of water coming out the other end this lasted until 10.30pm and I went to bed at 11pm no problems slept all night. I had the colonoscopy with gas and air at times it did hurt but keep puffing the gas and air and in no time it was over. Bowel normal thankfully. You will not be allowed to eat after 9am the day before the morning procedure but drink lucozade it fills you up so you don't feel hungry. Moviprep fills you up to it was quite a struggle to keep drinking it all.Read More Read Less

Medication worked very well. Problem came afterwards when I cashed the $10. rebate check. It was returned to my bank which then levied a $19. charge to my account for a returned check. Poor business practice for Moviprep!

I could not drink the first glass of Moviprep without gaging and feeling sick. I managed to get two glassfuls down and they came right up. Moviprep was $95 with a coupon and I didn't even open the second pouch. I had to reschedule and am doing the Miralax with lemonade crystal light. It is so much better. This was my third attempt so I guess it's true, three times is a charm. Never will I do Moviprep again.Ugh!

Taste not as bad as expected. Going to do my 2nd one (in two years) next week. The main thing I can say is to chug it down. Don't sip it. It doesn't taste GREAT but the faster you drink it the better off you are. I don't drink anything fast, not even coffee or water, so it was a big challenge, but I knew I had to do it. Had no side effects. Worked as described.

While Moviprep may clear the colon efficiently, its vile taste and the sheer quantity that one has to drink should be reason enough for physicians to find alternatives. And the cost is outrageous - $82 with insurance coverage. Confiscatory!

I'm a healthy 60 year old woman; I was prescribed Movi for a routine colonoscopy. I'm surprised about the claims that the taste is terrible. I wouldn't drink this as a treat, but it's simply very lemony, very sweet and very salty all together. Any purgative is something of an ordeal but this product isn't unbearable. I followed the instructions to eat low fiber for 3 days and to follow a clear liquid diet on the prep day, that seems important. Drinking the Movi on an empty stomach it passed right through my stomach instantly; that may help prevent nausea.Read More Read Less

I read all the reviews before taking the Moviprep and was apprehensive.I mixed each liter with Crystal Light and put in the refrigerator. I started the first liter at 3 in the afternoon and a felt like I was drinking lemonade. At 15 minute intervals, I took another 8 ounces. It was no problem getting in down and non bloating. IN 3 hours I repeated the process with no problems. I would recommend this product and use again.

I started the prep as directed but the prep is horrible tasting and I never even made it past the 1st half of the drink. I vomited all the liquid up and had chills. I cancelled my colonoscopy but will try Prepopik to see if the taste is better as told but I'm very doubtful of the product due to its China manufacturing. If the Prepopik doesn't work I wont be having another colonoscopy. The reviews for the Prepopik isn't real encouraging either. Science needs a better method for this type of treatment. I'm not against the procedure. Just the prep....bad.Read More Read Less
