Was on Wellbutrin for a yr then was switched to Budebrion. Been on Budeprion XL 300mg for a yr now. It's been great for me. Read all the other reviews which say it is terrible. Guess I must be the exception. I found absolutely no difference or side effects when I was switched over.

I have been off and on this drug for years. It has helped my moods, I actually laugh again! I now however, out of the blue, after having very low blood pressure all my life, have very high blood pressure. One of the side affects of this medicine is high blood pressure. No way to know if this med caused it!!!

I was on 450mg of Wellbutrin XL + 75mg of Effexor for several years. I had the generic of the 150 mg Wellbutrin, but had the brand name of the 300mg as they didn't make a generic when I started taking it. I get my prescriptions through mail order, and they are sent 3 months at a time. The last time I got the prescription, I was sent the generic of the 300mg. I didn't realize it until reading others' posts, but I have been increasingly irritable since beginning the generic. Also, I am more and more sleepy - I can sleep all day on the weekends, and even when I've had a full 8 hours sleep at night, I'm extremely sleepy in the morning; so much so that I'm actually falling asleep while driving and in fact had an accident last week. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I mentioned it to my therapist who asked about any changes in my medications... I want my name brand back!Read More Read Less

I have been struggling with depression for a long time. The first medicine I took, took away all emotions. This medicine has made it so much worse. I have dealt with suicidal thoughts for years and this medicine has made me think things that even scare me. I am angered easily, and then go into fits of crying following my rage. I do not have increased energy like I was told it would give me, and I am still smoking. Not what I was taking it for but still it didn't even help that. I am deff. gonna get ahold of my doctor...I strongly do not recommend this medicine at all!!!Read More Read Less

I've been taking Budeprion XL for 2 weeks-depressions has lessoned but I have been so angry and full of hate lately I feel like I'm losing it. didn't consider meds as the cause until reading all the reviews. I was on Wellbutrin yrs back and had great results. I asked my dr. for a refill and was surprised to find Budeprion XL in the bag when I got home. Will continue for a while longer but if no change have to tell dr. because if I stay this way I'll be divorced soon!

i dont like budeprion XL because it make my depression level down, and i cant sleep at night, with seroquel. Seroquel is a bipolar medication, that good with antidepression like the real wellbutrin XL i feel good with that than budeprion XL, it is not real. if the medicare doesnt pay for it. Let medicare take that medication, budeprion XL. And i will go to walmart and get four dollar prescription medication, for wellbutrin XL. so that i will be me again.

I, too was on Wellbutrin XL for a few years and was satisfied with it- but then was switched to Bupropion and it worked okay. Shortly after that, I was again switched about a year ago, I think, to Budeprion XL by my pharmacy (without being told about the switch). I thought it was the pharmacy's policy to tell people when they switched them to a different drug, even if it's just a slight change. I strongly believe that they all are trying to pass Budeprion off as the same drug (as Bupropion) and it is NOT the same drug. In fact, I saw a report on my local news channel several months ago and THEY said that Budeprion does not work! If this is true, then why is it still allowed to be on the market? I mean, I can't tell myself for sure if it works as well as Bupropion or Wellbutrin. I have been more depressed lately, but I've assumed it was because I've had some upsetting things happen in my life- but you hear something like that from a reputable news organization and it makes you wonder. But Medicaid pays for my medications, so I have to take what they will pay for. By the way, I do notice that I have been a little agitated on this drug, but I had to stop taking Wellbutrin about 10 years ago because of the same side effect. I will ask my doctor if she can get my prescription switched back to Bupropion.Read More Read Less

I used this for smoking cessation. I smoked for 22 years and quit cold turkey after taking this medication for 2 weeks. I continued on the medication for 6 months then stopped taking it, and remained smoke-free!!!

I took this drug to augment another for anxiety comorbid depression. It, like all of the other reuptake inhibitors, has not resolved my anxiety (actually, the opposite--it elevated my current depression).

This medication worked great for me. I know that there are a lot of bad reviews about it on here, but it really helped me get through a very hard time in my life which resulted in depression. I have been on it for 6 months now and feel that i am ready to go off. Never had head aches, or trouble sleeping. Actually, the reason that I went on Budeprion was because i was on Celexa and i couldn't sleep AT ALL and felt sick all the time. That all went away. The only notable side effect is ringing in the ears. This is one of the few anti-depressants that does not have ED as a side effect. Read More Read Less

I took Budeprion XL along with 20 mgs. of Lexapro for depression and to help with fatigue symptoms due to MS. It was okay for the first 5 days, after that, my head felt like it was about to explode, I was disoriented, dizzy and wanted to sleep to make the feeling go away. My doctor told me to stop it immediately which I did and I feel much better. I will switch to Wellburtin Xl and hope things go much better! Please be careful taking this drug!

First of all my doc must be a freaken moron , because I never told her I was depressed. I told her I was pissed. She puts me on Pristiq ... it worked fine , I slept a lot , ate a lot and started smoking again . 20 lbs later she puts me on the Bupropion xl 300 mg . So now I am back wher I started . Angry is a mild word for what I feel. Murderious maybe. I hate everybody and I'm sure the feeling is mutuel . Yeah yeah yeah , I can't spell , but that is not a side effect. Always had that. I want to puke , my head feels "twitchy". I'm dizzy. Also I can't seem to stop myself from cursing ... the "F" word keeps flying.. so now I'm going to hell too. Plus no doubt I shouldnt be on the road . Yeah I am RAGING ! It's a damned shame because I really wanted to lose this weight... but at what cost. Guess I will flush this crap and go DRUG FREE . I was already a bitch , I didn't need any help with THAT. I wanted my RAGe to go away... Ok other symptons include chest pain, sharp pains in stomach , HEAT FLASHES , MURDEROUS RAGE , I HATE RUDE PEOPLE AND NOW I AM ONE ! I'm flushing this crapm and looking for a new doctor, Ive had my suspicions that this bitch didnt know her ass from a hole in ther ground and after 15 years she has PROVED it. I go in for RAGE and she gives me something to CAUSE RAGE. Dumber than hell !Read More Read Less

Switched from Lexapro (on it one year), to Budeprion due to ED problems. I lost a loving relationship due to the Lexapro. Budeprion reived the ED somewaht, nut did very little for the depression. In fact, I felt even more depressed after going on Budeprion SL. I also had very dramatic mood swings in the first few weeks of taking the med. I feel that it is very ineffecive.

I have never been a drug like this but after 3 weeks of taking the Budeprion XL, I've developed severe hives and itching all over. I usually an not allergic to anything but this is terrible! I've read many negative reviews about Budeprion made by Teva so I will try Buproprion made by another manufacturer asap!
