I've been on VyVanse (60mg) for 5 months now. I have been able to compare the medication in 2 different scenarios during this time. For 4 of the months, I was working 40 hours a week landscaping. Prior to the meds, I had constant racing thoughts and never seemed to be able to focus on something long enough to finish it. The meds stopped the racing thoughts and seemed to "zone me in" on the tas...

I have been on the generic for 1 month coming off of Vyvanse and I have hit a major depression. My ADD is not under control and I had my doctor lower my dose by 10 mg thinking that maybe the anxiety I was feeling was due to the generic Vyvanse. I would not suggest using it.

SULCO generic vyvanse is terrible. Its efficacy is a VERY poor.NOT AT ALL like the original Takadea’s brand name product vyvanse! It doesn’t seem to work. It takes a long time begin to “work”, it doesn’t “work” as well, and I am tired, sluggish and crash every afternoon. Not at all the same - a poor substitute !

I have taken vyvanse for years and I was really happy when it came out in generic form. Unfortunately the generic is absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!! It’s nothing like the brand. It’s so bad. I feel irritable all day my head hurts etc… I don’t like paying 400 a month but this is terrible. I’m so upset.

I just recently got back on Vyvanse 6 months ago after a 3 year break, didn't realize how much i hurt myself by not taking it. When i got back on i felt "normal" again and was able to focus again and was very productive at work and at home. Last month i was forced by my insurance to go with the generic Vyvanse, what a JOKE! It is absolutely HORRIBLE! I am not able to focus or complete any task, VERY irritable and angry, stomach isn't quite right, not able to get more than 3-4 hours of sleep. I have absolute zero interest in speaking to anyone, the mere fact of looking at people irritates me to no extent. My brain feels so scattered and messy i cannot think. We NEED the brand back!! They say its the same ingredients, but i beg to differ. There is defiantly a key component missing in the generic! Read More Read Less

Was on Vyvanse 20mg and after being on it for 3 months, was raised to 30mg. Pharmacy gave me the generic and it has zero effect on me. Back to my BID eating habits. Not happy!

I have been on Vyvanse now for 3 years. I was excited to pay less when the generic brand came out. But the first few days of taking the generic brand I noticed a major difference in my attention, I was scattered brained I couldn’t stay still and focus for long periods of time. It’s as if I wasn’t taking anything for my adhd. I’m a nursing student so my medication is helpful and unfortunately I have noticed a difference in lecture. Because if nursing school I am aware of the process that medications go through to get passed and this generic does not have to be exactly the same as Vyvanse and it shows that it is not! I have had to go up on my dose and I only hope I can tell a difference when I receive my refill.Read More Read Less

I’ve taken Vyvanse for years and liked it better than Adderall or Ritalin. But this new generic one is kicking my butt. I’m soooo tired. My stomach has been really upset and I’m not feeling productive at all. Almost the opposite. I also have been waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep. I hate it. And I doubt my insurance will approve the name brand anymore. I’m screwed. Ritalin makes me fall fast asleep and makes me sad. Adderall the hyper focus is too much. Vyvanse was the best. This generic doesn’t feel like it’s the same drug at all. Read More Read Less

I never complain and generic in my experience has always lived up to what it’s supposed to do….NOT THIS ONE. It’s horrible! I feel shaky and scattered brained. Ingredients look almost identical to the name brand, but something is way off with this one!

This generic version is either very very weak or it's not effective like the original. Almost as if it's a placebo.

The new generic Vyvanse was something I was hoping would come out for years. I was excited to save money and try the cheaper formula when it was released in August of this year. I got a new insurance and had to fight to get it approved and then finally tried it and....it made me feel like like slow? I didn't feel any of the benefits as the name brand, while also feeling like it was harder to concentrate and recall, it is like it did the opposite of the intended purpose. It hurt my head and I experienced sudden side effects of stomach severe cramps, nausea, and diarrhea. Read More Read Less

Ive been taken Vyvanse for many years now. I was very happy to learn they came out with a much cheaper version. I got the new version on the 3rd or 4th day it came out. The only problems I see with this new medication is, it wears off a lot quicker, it’s not as strong as Vyvanse and it tends to raise my anxiety levels.

This generic Vyvanse didn't have the same effect as the name brand. I also experienced a migraine headache, sleeplessness, and nausea after 1 dose. The normal Vyvanse never made me feel this way.

Out of all the stimulants I've tried (Adderall XR 20mg, Concerta XR 54mg, Vyvanse 40mg), there is nothing that compares to the effectiveness of Vyvanse for ADHD symptoms. I'm in graduate school, and Vyvanse has been, by far, the most effective medication for focus and motivation. Additionally, as someone who struggles with comorbid mental health issues, Vyvanse helped me complete tasks when I wouldn't have done them otherwise. However, patients with Bipolar could be tipped into Mania, but I believe that goes with any stimulant. I didn't start taking stimulants until college, so I don't know how it would affect kids. I was on Vyvanse (40 mg) for roughly two years but switched to Concerta because of cost, and my appetite was relatively nonexistent. It could also make me zombie-like, but not nearly like Adderall did. My appetite isn't much better now but has improved since the switch. When Vyvanse goes generic, I will switch back ASAP. I’ve been taking Vyvanse for about 4 years now. I slowly worked my way up to the max dose of 70mg. Each time the dosage went up I felt better and better in the sense of being able to focus, function and concentrate. I started noticing weird things about 2 years into it while at max dose. For example, house cleaning, I would start in my bedroom and see something that needed to go to another room like a cup to the kitchen. I would take the cup to the kitchen and then start doing dishes and get totally side track. At the end of the day neither my bedroom or kitchen was 100% clean. After the Vyvanse I could actually stay on track and complete tasks in their entirety. Fast forward 4 years and I’m not o my back to the pre-Vyvanse phase in my life but it seems to be severely worsened. Im not able to hold I formation in my head for longer than 30 seconds. Im always losing things and forgetting where I put something I had just seconds before. My kids pointed out that I am constantly moving my big toes on both my feet. Like always! It’s like nervous fidget? I don’t know honestly. Now that they’ve brought it to my attention I notice it constantly. Even when I’m public or just standing in place, even with my shoes on. Im very insecure about it now and when I do notice, I make it a point to stop but only mere seconds later I’m right back at it! My biggest concern is time perception. So pre-Vyvanse, the things that I were able to accomplish in an hour, for example, now takes me several hours. Im late, and not just a few minutes late, but excessively late, to everything. Time gets away from me! I work from home now and Ive noticed that if I’m doing something, anything at all, I will literally feel as if an hour has passed and then when I look at the clock, it’s been closer to 3 hours! I’ve tried to stop the medication and the side affects mentioned on this site are NOT even close to reality. I stopped for 2 days and I had severe withdrawals. Im talking no energy at all whatsoever, sweating profusely, laid in my bed sweating and vomiting like a dang crack addict (like in the movies where people go through withdrawals due to heavy drug usage!) it was miserable and I learned then that I am very much so highly addicted to this medicine. It has ruined my life, relationships, makes me irritable and confrontational! I have no desire for intimacy nor do I want to even think about sex! I know I have a problem because I won’t even tell my doctor what I’ve written here for the fear of him taking it away from me! I want him too but the addiction does not! I’d stay as far away from this drug as humanly possible! Read More Read Less
