Believe or it not, I have been fighting my blood pressure for 2+ years. At the age of 35, I could not control it any longer. This is literally the 12th medication I have been prescribed in 2 years. The 10mg per day has lowered my blood pressure from stroke level, but it is not low enough. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Keep in mind I am deadly allergic to sulfa, penicillan, io ... i am having insomnia and overall skin itchiness.  i had to stop coreg because of the itchiness.

I began taking this drug about 6 months ago. I was on Toprol XL before. It has worked relatively well, but between the two, I am probably going to go back on Toprol. The main side effects of this drug for me have been lack of sleep. I have gone from 7-8 hours per night to 4-5 and that lack of sleep is causing headaches and other problems. lowers b/p effectively but i seemto have increased tendency for nu;mbness in toes and hands....especially troublesome at night while sleeping....toes painful when I first get out of bed

It's a little over a month that I've been on Bystolic. It seems to be working. I went on vacation and missed 3 ddays....I thought I was going to die. I finally got the meds.....the pressure went down. The side effects that I'm having is a lot of chest pain. It felt like my heart was just not working right.
