I could only take this for 17 days - I had severe nausea, loss of appetite, loss of taste, etc. I just went back to taking Celexa and will see my psychiatrist tomorrow about what I should try next - this did nothing for my depression, only made me physically ill.

For me Pristiq caused more problems than it was worth. The side effects are terrible. Also, getting off Pristiq is difficult and frustrating. I tried several times in the past two years, but the withdrawal was terrible. After 6 weeks of weening off Pristiq I finally succeeded last week.

Best med. I have used so far for depression. Constipation handled with metamucil. Often detailed dreams but not troubling. Way fewer thoughts of suicide.

Ok i have only been on this medication for 3 days but already feel better. I was on welbutrin and before that prozac. prozac worked and then stopped being effective. Welbutrin didnt help my anxiety at all and i was easily aggitated. I dont know if its a mind over matter thing but since a couple hours after taking pritiq i was calmer and it isnt so easy to trigger my anger or anxiety. I have found ... Show Full Comment

unlike most other drugs I tried, this one didn't make me zone out or feel cloudy
