I am so astounded that my skin looks the way it does. I am a 21 year old female and I really thought I had seen it all and tried it all. Use every night and you should see results. It is 6 weeks into the treatment and I don't have any visible pimples. Trust me, the first few weeks can be a little disheartening. A few things that happened to me (on & off) during the first few weeks were that...

I have been using this product for almost a year, however, I applied this medication to my sunburnt face, and woke up today covered in blisters. Just a word of advice that I wish I would have known, DO NOT APPLY TO A SUNBURNT FACE!!!

Because of epiduo when I touch my face it is so unbelievable painful, it burns. It got rid of my acne but I don't think it's worth it

I have been using Epiduo for 2 years now. The first 3 months were horrible. My skin was red, painful, peeling constantly, and irritated. I was also breaking out more than I ever had. Not to mention my skin became incredibly oily. However, after month 4 and beyond my skin showed dramatic improvement. My skin type is combination now (it was oily prior to Epiduo) and my acne flare ups have decreased significantly. I'm glad I stuck it out considering how bad it was in the beginning. For the record, I used Cetaphil cleanser twice a day. I used Epiduo at night and clindamycin phosphate lotion in the morning as directed by my derm. For moisturizer, I used Cetaphil as well during the morning and night. My skin is starting to become more oily now, but so far my journey with Epiduo has been positive. You just have to get past the rough first few months!! It's long I know, but at least for me it proved to be worth it.Read More Read Less

I have very sensitive skin and I am very acne prone. I have tried just about every home remedy there is to get rid of my acne, until my doctor prescribed me Epiduo and my first month using it was terrible it dried my skin, it would sting when I applied it, I couldn't wear makeup because it would burn, it seemed like I was breaking out even more. But after the first few weeks my skin started clearing up and I saw a major improvement on my skin. Now I just use it every other day.

I'm 14, and I've suffered miserably from acne since I was about 11. I officially lost count of all of the remedies and washes I have used throughout the years. I tried Proactiv+ for about 7 or 8 months , and it worked for the most part. It did not prevent breakouts, but it prevented the enlargement of my acne. 2 months ago, my skin adjusted to the chemicals in the system and I began to break out- horrifically. That, my friends, is when I finally decided that it was time I saw a dermatologist in desperate hopes that they would prescribe me some magic pimple cream that washed away impurities overnight. While Epiduo does NOT work overnight, it works miracles. I suppose it works by drying out the pimples, because after using it, my skin gets rather dry. It does, however, decrease the redness and size of my pimples without overdrawing, and does rid the oiliness of my face. It works for about a week, and you may begin to think that it is the best treatment you have ever used, and then about two days into the second week, it is very common that you begin to break out. DO NOT FREAK OUT. THIS IS COMPLETELY NORMAL. After this breakout, I strongly advise that you do not switch products, but continue to use the Epiduo. This phase lasts about 3 days before the treatment kicks in again and takes full effect on your face. I have been using Epido for 3 months now, and I promise you, it works. I get one or two averagely sized pimples every time I cycle, but that is the only time I ever break out. The Epiduo clears these in about 4 or 5 days. I do additionally advise that you regularly moisturize your face as you use this product, because as I said, it does dry out your face a bit. Sunblock is also something I would use if you're outside a lot, because it does make your skin more susceptible to burn in the sun. I love Epiduo!Read More Read Less

I didn't care for epiduo much. It seemed to make my acne worse than ever! I used proactiv before that and nothing worked as well as i wanted it to. I recently found a much cheaper way tower rid of my acne...witch hazel! Its a 100% natural astringent which cleanses, soothes, and treats. I love it! I haven't had a breakout for a long time! When i do get one it is gone in less than a week where it used to take weeks! So now i use cetaphil to wash my face then witch hazel as a natural toner.

When I moved from Europe to the Caribbean I began getting very bad adult acne, probably from over active sebaceous glands and the heat and humidity. I tried several products but nothing worked. I began Epiduo last week and I can see a dramatic difference already. My skin is a bit dry but moisturiser takes care of that. What was difficult was the burning after applying most products to the skin. I used a Clarins cleanser but the burning was terrible. However, when I use Dr Haushker, an all natural cleanser (buy in any health store or on Amazon), there was no burning whatsoever. I also apply raw aloe vera (cut leaf open and rub pulp on face). It soothes the burning and conditions the skin. Read More Read Less

I love love love epiduo!! I call it face crack because it works so well! I've had bad acne my whole life and now my face is almost completely clear. I've used almost every product under the sun and Epiduo is definitely the most effective. It takes a few weeks for your face to get used to it, but then it should clear redness and acne!

I started using this medication about 3 weeks ago. I've experienced dryness and a little irritation of my skin, but nothing too drastic. I just moisturize very well and then it goes away. :) So I'll keep using it until my acne goes away!

It has been a few days since my last review, and I believe I discovered my issue with the dryness. I've never had a huge issue with oily face, and the face wash I'm using is for oil control. If that's ridding my natural oils that give moisture to my face, no wonder my face is so dry. I'm most likely going to change to another regular gentle face cleanser.

I started using epiduo in Feburary and the first few weeks were so bad! My skin was all red and it burned for a while, but after a while of usage your skin stops burning. I was amazed with my results! My skin was almost completely clear by late March. Although when I'm on my period I sometimes get a breakout of spots and epiduo doesn't become very effective during that period of time which is a bit annoying. But after a few weeks it becomes clear again. I got this medication from my doctor as I had a lot of acne but epiduo is the best acne treatment I've used. I do recommend it and the first few weeks of usage are worth it.Read More Read Less

This medicine works very well but the side effects almost aren't worth it. My skin got better after 3 months of using it but during those 3 moths my skin was so dry it dryed the foundation on my face. The burning of anything on my face whenever it out something like makeup remover, moisturizer, makeup last 20 minutes in terrible burning. My skin was so dry I had to put moisturizer on my face 3 times a day and my skin was still dry. Also my face swelled up and got red a couple hours after using it. If you can avoid all the side affects it worked perfectly and now I have clear skin!Read More Read Less

Worked well with my adult acne after trying several different things. I still get pimples, but not nearly as many/often and they go away quickly. I've never experience any burning or discomfort, but did dry out for a few weeks (nothing crazy). I have combination skin.

I'm on the Canadian brand of Epiduo called Tactupump. For me I used it and then stopped for a while then went back on to it. When I start I usually have redness and dryness for about 2-3 weeks. but after that my skin is clear and my acne is cleared up

This gel is terrible. The dermatologist advised me that it will make me breakout more in the beginning (an undefined term -three months? 6 months? 1 year?) and then get better. None of that sort happened. I used it for more than 3 months and my mild acne went from bad to worse. I do not recommend this product to anyone. All of these products are terrible as they only make your skin worse. I would recommend seeking home remedies. I am currently in search of some that will work for me. Please do share if you find any good acne home remedies.Read More Read Less

I'm on the Canadian brand of Epiduo called Tactupump. Not sure what the difference is. I was reluctant to use this because a) it was super expensive b) it was super painful and c) I had never had any luck in the past with gels. It took a lot of willpower to push through the first month of this product. It made my skin so dry that it hurt, and thank goodness I wasn't working because putting makeup on my face with it that dry? Yeah, forget about that. But I pushed through because I've had acne as long as I can remember and I was desperate. Fast forward about five months and I am shocked at how my skin looks. It's almost completely clear, and any acne that pops up goes away pretty quickly. I still suffer from harder to attack acne on my jawline but it's always been the worst there so I'm just happy to see any difference. I've been able to leave the house without makeup the past few weeks and I feel amazing about my skin. I never thought a stupid bottle of gel could actually make me feel so amazing about myself but it does! Sooo happy I pushed through the painful part of this medication. I will mention, however, once you start using it don't stop using. I got a little arrogant when my face cleared up and thought I didn't need it anymore but I was wrong, I broke out and regretted it. This product is amazing. So happy. Read More Read Less

I remember getting acne as a 10 or 11 year old girl, and the embarrassment that accompanied it. To this day, I hate looking at pictures of that time in my life. I was so depressed and angry and frustrated. I would cry to my mom about my terrible skin, and I had tried every non-prescription option out there. They would work for a few months, and then it got even worse than before. Finally, when I went to the doctor for my shots before 7th grade, she asked me if I had ever heard of EpiDuo. I told her I had, but I'd never really considered it. She wrote me a prescription, and I started using it within the next 2 days. For the first 2 weeks, it burned so badly I would tear up. Then I got even angrier because it made my skin worse. However, after 6 weeks, my skin had gone from horrid to hoorah. When school started, I had gotten so many compliments about how great I look and people asked me what I was using. It made me so happy and my skin looks brand new. So, I would like to thank the creators of EpiDuo for changing my outlook on life. I completely and totally encourage anyone considering this treatment to see their doctor about it, because it worked for me. Why not you?Read More Read Less

It's really been effective for my adult acne. I don't like the bleaching capabilities, but it's an easy sacrifice to make.

I used this product for 4 months before I really noticed that my skin was 100% clear!! It unclogged all my pores, I never get deep cysts anymore only little blackheads that pop out on their own. EPIDUO SAVED MY LIFE. Stick with it and you won't regret it. Only thing bad about it is that it never really stops burning when you put it on.
