I read the reviews two nights ago after I had received Synvisc One in my left knee. I have no cartilage left and have exhausted all other options. The reviews made me nervous. It was too late to turn back. My knee was uncomfortable after the shot (felt like a wedge of rubber was stuffed in my knee joint). But I kept telling myself, you've gone from no cartilage to what amounted to full cartilage. ...

I received the shot 3 months ago and as soon as I stood up I could tell it was working. It was very exciting to be almost completely pain free. At this point, I'm starting to experience mild pain and looking forward to getting the next injection which should last longer (based on several family member's results).

After reading many reviews I was a bit fearful about getting this shot. About me Ex athlete with bone on bone in right knee. Lost ACL and have had two surgeries. Was taking daily pain killer and waking at night with knee hurting. Had procedure done at Vandy Joint Clinic in Franklin, Tn. Shot was quick and painless. Had gel cool pack for after shot per other successful users. Have been able to reduce the amount of Aleve and/or not take any after three days. Reduced my daily icing efforts. So it worked for me. Have been able to up my activity and lose weight also. This review was written one month after shot. Read More Read Less

I am a very active 44 yr old woman. I had Synvisc placed 4 wks ago. I have noticed no improvement, which is incredibly disappointing. I have arthritis in both knees and cortisone shots do not alleviate the pain

I have osteoarthritis in my knees. I got one shot, and needed another right at the 6 month mark. That second shot lasted a year. The third shot lasted 3 years. Very happy with the outcome! The pain before was so severe I avoided walking up stairs at all cost, felt like an old person before my time.

I've had two injections so far within the last year and have had no issues with them. I have a very good orthopedic surgeon that performs the injection and I find the procedure relatively painless. My knee is sore for the first 48 hours after the injection but it quickly returns to normal. I'm able to stay very active and without pain(running, biking, walking) so the injections have been very positive in my experience.

I am 66 years old and have had knee pain for years. It had gotten progressively worse and received a syndics-one injection in September of last year. It did nothing to alleviate the pain and now my knee is even worse than before. I would not recommend this treatment. I am looking at having knee replacement surgery in the near future.

I receive the injections in both knees and I find them very effective.Really a life saver which has kept me from knee replacement surgery up till now. Immediately after the injections there is very little discomfort at the site of injection which is releiver with some ice packs, then in 24 hours most of the pain and discomfort is gone and I am able to get around easier for six to eight mouths before re - injections. I swear by them and find them well worth it. Highly recommended !!!

I was in pain before but worse after. I wish I had never done the shots. My knee pops stand up from sitting, moving it goes out from under me. If you are thinking about taking the shots DON'T.

Horrible. Don't go with this brand! it is almost 4 weeks and the pain has gotten steadily worse after injection and knee is swollen to double the size. Doctor says there is no way to remove it. I would recommend you read the reviews on older pages that the drug manufacturer is trying to overcome with good reviews. I posted a complaint with the FDA..if you do appropriate searching you will find a lot of people like me with the same experience or much much worse.

Had some pinching in my right knee when descending stairs. Decided to try Synvisc. Had Synvisc 7 years ago without a problem. Was walking and climbing stairs without a problem, then had the usual series of 3 Synvisc injections in both knees. This was in April of 2015. Can't climb stairs, sit or get up from a chair without pain. Feels like the hamstring ligament won't stretch. Doctors have no answer. FDA has no answer and The Synvisc Co. is not saying anything. This is now Oct 2015 and still in pain. Oh yes, had fluid 33ml removed from knee after swelling three times. Read More Read Less

I received three injections in my left knee to help with chronic pain from patellar tracking issues. My knee became less stable with a couple of incidents of near-falling. I experienced swelling and hot flashes as side effects which went away after treatment stopped. The pain did not decrease; I experienced sharper pain due to destabilization. A giant waste of time and money.

Since having this injections a week and a half ago, I've had 2 trips to the ER to remove excess fluid accompanied by pain and muscle weakness. The packaging says notify your doctor if you experience pain and swelling, but when I reported the side effects, everyone was baffled including the ER staff, and didn't know how to treat me or how to reverse the swelling. I then called the Syndics One help line to no avail. The rep didn't have a solution other than telling me to wait it out and it may go away.Read More Read Less

Had Synvisc One injected in both knees .Two days latter, I started feeling pain and a lot of swelling. Exactly one week later, I was rushed to th EmergencyRoom with sharp pains, swelling and the inability to stand, Drs drained 110cc's from one knee alone. And stated that I may need emergency surgery. This was the worst decision I've made in a long time.....My advice, don't use it.

Just a follow-up: I'm over 2 months now since the shot and it is working like a miracle! No pain. I had a minor set-back a few weeks ago when it seemed that something was out of place in my knee, but it resolved itself and I don't even remember having knee pain now. It's wonderful. I will definitely be heading back in December for another shot. I have a high pain tolerance, and I know that I was experiencing at least a 8-9 in pain in my knee prior to this shot. I'm just so pleased. Don't let fear keep you from trying this. It's amazing how much better your knee can feel. Read More Read Less
