I am using it for a colonscopy prep. Put a glass in the freezer and let ice start to form and it goes down very easy and doesn't taste bad(I had Lemon) When it starts to work it works and does the job.

I was surprised that it took at least two hours for the medicine to "kick in." By FAR the worst part of this medication was both the taste and the knowledge I am drinking mostly a chemical used to preserve ships and as an industrial lubricant. Gavilyte-C was easier to use and had a better taste than a previous colonoscopy prep liquid I've used. I fasted the day before the exam, drinking half of the Gavilyte the afternoon before the procedure and the other half 5 1/2 hrs before the procedure (the next day). I have a history of migraines but had no problem with a migraine throughout the process. I also experienced very little nausea. ... Show Full Comment

used as directed. this was my fourth time. dr. advised I could use coconut water and it improved the citrus flavor considerably. never a particularly pleasant experience, but certainly not that bad.
