I have been very tired can hardly walk my feet have swollen and my water pills dont seem to work. Testing of urin has shown blood. Not able to eat to sick to even think about it.

Drug simply did not work. I started multac when I developed AF two weeks ago. Absolutely no change in AF

I had cardioversion for afib; worked for a while but then had "a-flutter." Dr. started me on this drug to take for a month and then repeat cardioversion (not done yet). I never felt symptoms of flutter; did notice minor arrhythmia, which is still there. Cant say whether the drug is effective. I have observed shortness of breath and occasional chest tightness. I had severe lower leg edema for four weeks, but I was hiking in mountains the first two. Now only minor edema. I can't prove it, but my impression is the drug is (a) not affecting arrhythmia and (b) causing edema and lack of stamina.Read More Read Less

Started Multaq 400mg tablets twice per day on June 24, 2014. By July 17 nausea and fatigue.Promethazine 25mg tablets began July 30. No relief from nausea; extreme fatigue.Stopped Maltaq August 14, 2014 because nausea not abated. Some liver enzymes are slightly elevated. Cardiologist saw no problem with lab results.

leg muscles tighten when walking. Ed problems since taking this drug.

Too Expensive

I have been on a 2 per day for 2 years and have just about forgotten about afib after suffering frequent episodes for years. Multaq has been the ticket for me .

Been on 400mg twice a day for about 1 month. AFib has slowed down, but I still have episodes that last anywhere from a minute to hours. Jury is out on this medication, but I can say I feel better than before. Dr took me off Pradaxa 150mg twice a day and put me on Xarelto 20mg once a day instead due to reported negative reactions between Pradaxa and Multaq. Hoping to avoid ablation.

I was put on this med after my A-fib was diagnosed and I had the stress test, echocardiogram, heart cath., cardioversion, etc. with no lasting results. Now in 10 days on this med I have experienced swollen ankles and have put on 7-8 lbs. with no improvement. The doctor says to stay on it and does not think the Multaq is responsible for these symptoms! I believe it is and I am not taking this med any more and will be looking for a second opinion from another cardiologist.

Started Multaq 8/13. Had Afib episodes about every 3 weeks. lasting 24-36 hrs. Last episode 12/9/13 going for 1 month without afib episode.

It worked well for first month but I started fibbing again weekly. I stopped celexa. It seems to help to have at least 4 hours between time I take multaq and other meds like prednisone ( I have Rheumatoid arthritis).

i've been on multaq for over 2 years and only take one 400 a day. i have not had one afib episode since i've been on it. i also take lisinopril, bystolic, fenobrate, niaspan, warfarin, and a baby aspirin a day.

a/flutter started after I got flu/num in 5/13.I tried cardio version lasted 3 days. I went home with samples to try while waiting for 2nd shock, my a/fib stopped after 2/3 days of taking this. I have been on 400mg 2 a day. it's been 5 months & no a/fib. I almost forgot I have this problem. I was worried about taking this but so far it's been fine.

I have been taking 400 MG twice daily for one year and it has worked until last week.

Have taken for seven months. Not as many episodes as before but still have brief ones sometimes several a day other days only a couple episodes. Also take 80mg Inderal LA once daily. jury out if benefits outweigh the cost for me

Taking Multaq and Pradaxa also Metoperol 25 mg 2 x a day. Began Multaq in 4/2013 and was effective at first. However, now I usually have some problems with irregular heart beat two to five days a week. Sometimes continues for several hours at a time. Minor shortness of breath and fatigue after climbing one flight of stairs.
