My son is on this medication for schizophrenia. My son has been on this shot for about 9 months now and it has helped his symptoms considerably; he is more communicative and is resting better on this medication than any other he has tried recently. He is also on lithium as well. He still talks to himself some and paces around the house at times but considering how poorly he was doing on some of t...

My family thinks it has made me retarded and i am forced to live under the care of elders because of what its effects are every day. I have personnaly been messed up on one shot for 7 mont...

I was given this injection in a mental hospital in Fort Wayne for mania. This medication is the worst one I have ever taken. It has been 80 days and I feel as bad as I ever have on it, nothing is improving. This drug is poisonous to the human brain.

Terrible. Truly ruined my brother's life. He can't get stable after only one injection. It's been two months. Suicide ideations is a common side affect not listed on most reviews. Others side effects include: Rage fits, extreme paranoia(being afraid of everything), psychosis, delusions, slurred speech, not sleeping, plus physical side effects. Invega broke his brain. He was a sweet person before on his first gen drugs. Then he was injected with invega sustena and then changed 180°. Now I'm not sure he will even survive. Doctors please don't give this drug to your patients. Patients DO NOT take this awful dangerous drug. Read More Read Less

I have been on Invega Sustaina for well over 10 yrs now for schizoaffective disorder and love it. It made my voices go away in 3 days, and they're still gone. No side effects. I function better, and am independent in my life.

You will hear voices from a stranger like they want to take you to a mental health center and also if you lose weight a senior citizen will not want you working.

Ive researched most schizophrenia meds & there are basically no positives. Doctors who prescribe this vaccine should first take it themselves & if they don’t go bananas then give it to patients. It made my sister into someone I don’t know; I rather she be an alien then take anti psychotic meds & become a zombie, obese, unhygienic etc. Doctors making money off of patients who are lost, should be a crime.

I was prescribed this medication despite not being schizophrenic for some reason. I initially only experienced pain in the injection area then shortly after began to notice that I was beginning to develop anhedonia along with other symptoms. I haven't been able to sleep for more then a few minutes a night for the past two months now, I've been gaining weight, lack the ability to express emotions, absolutely no sex drive whatsoever, feel very restless, can't think properly or retain new information at all, can't talk or understand other people as well, food tastes bland, and I have an unsatisfiable appetite. The list of symptoms could go on for a long period of time. I just want to be my old healthy, happy, and productive self again, with college, gym, etc, it especially bothers me because I'm still young and potentially had my whole life ahead of me. I deeply regret not having done even the slightest bit of research and fully trusting my psychiatrist with this medication. All I can think about is how much I wish I never recieved this horrible injection and that I’m better off dead at this point. With that I beg others who are considering taking this medication to avoid it at all costs and to instead seek alternatives for schizophrenia.Read More Read Less

Can someone intelligent, great job, great wife, with love for sports, always fun and happy be reduced to a ZOMBIE-LIKE VEGETABLE WITH SEVERE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENT after just one life hypomanic episode? The sad thing is YES and it was all "sponsored" by INVEGA SUSTENNA and a doctor/family that felt medicine is about tricking treatment on a patient that only needed information and comprehension. Can just one shot of INVEGA do the trick of live destruction? YOU BET. It's been about 9 months since I was deceived into taking an Invega shot. The results were life wrecking and to this day I can’t barely recognise the person I've become. All started right away, severe extrapyramidal symptoms (to the point I couldn't get dressed by myself), severe fatigue and drowsiness, sleepness, slowness, bad anhedonia, and a bunch of other disturbing things. Felt like I was shot to an impaired state. Weeks later felt slightly better, I thought I was pulling through. Then came the withdrawal and my world came falling apart. Every effect multiplied, I was restless, severe insomnia (would wake up sweating), felt almost paralyzed, blank, no cognition whatsoever. Doctor did NOTHING, said I was just depressed (good alibi to get out of a major malpractice). It got so seriously bad, I tried to kill myself. Was hospitalized and finally came out. Did things improve a little? Just the bare minimum, I'm active, working, but the effects are still there. I'm impaired, psychically, mentally, emotionally. MOST PEOPLE STILL DON'T BELIEVE INVEGA COULD DO SUCH DAMAGE. WELL I ATEST IT DOES. THE CHANCE OF LIFE RUIN JUST IS TO HIGH.Read More Read Less

I am a caretaker and my client’s life was ruined by INVEGA Sustenna. He will never be able to care for himself again, even after stopping the injections (he only took 2) he never went back to normal. He can’t sit still anymore, he is tormented daily by his cognitive loss, body jerking, drooling, paranoia. we Have taken him to several doctors trying to help “fix” whatever happened when he took the shot but so far nothing. Now working with a neurologist to see if there is anything we can do.

Terrible side effects. I was forcefully given invega sustenna 150mg. I experience head tremors. Almost spasms. I have slurred speech. It feels like someone shut off my brain. Even typing this it is hard to remember what I wrote. Memory loss, lower IQ, can’t carry a conversation. This medication is terrible I feel like a shell of my former self. Have been off the medication for 2 months and no improvement.

In the beginning, I thought taking this would help with the paranoia and it did for awhile. I was stabilized and able to function and progress. However, after so long it built up in my system and I've become a vegetable. I don't feel anything, I don't have energy I don't wanna do anything and I just feel like I'm on pause. This medication might be helpful to someone who really needs it but I'm finding it exceedingly more difficult and frustrating to feel OK day to day. I'm aggravated that I can't feel anything nothing has any affect on me not coffee, not pain pills no substance affects me. I'm frustrated that my energy is gone I don't wanna do anything I just want to sit all day and not move. I feel trapped. I don't like what it's doing to my brain and I can't go on like this anymore. I want to feel again. I've learned thru my experience that everyone just wants to keep me from freaking out and I think I can manage myself now. I might need to try different medications to help ease anxiety but I don't feel I need to do this to myself anymore. I'm quitting this. It worked for awhile but after time it just makes you a shell. Terrible feeling. Read More Read Less

Haha, people are so easy to give negative ratings cause of side effects. This medication is very good. If you gain weight what stops you from exercising? I do not think this medication can be that bad like most people say it is. Some people are just lazy as f and easy to complain in my opinion.

I have been on Invega sustenna for almost 2 years for schizophrenia. I’ve stuck with invega sustenna for so long because it is the second best option in terms of side effects (definitely not saying that it is a good drug). I have erectile dysfunction, insomnia, feeling of mental pain and loneliness, extreme fatigue, lack of motivation, worsened vision, and short term memory loss from this medication (all of the medications in fact). I’m showering about once a month, brushing teeth about twice a week and never exercising because I physically can’t do better on this medication. I used to shower and brush teeth daily in addition to having a six pack (abs). This medication is another antipsychotic that was marketed without care of how the patients feel physically or mentally while taking it. In short, current antipsychotics do work but the side effects are unbearableRead More Read Less

100mg per month dose, it got rid of my conscience (the inner me), gave me mass weight, gave me insomnia, killed my sex drive, prevents any sort of erection, brain fog, disconnected with life and my girlfriend. I need to take benzos just to get to sleep 80% of the time. Worst drug ever.. worst experience ever..

I've had 3 injections and the onlything that really bothers me is the injection site has me sore like a grip on my arm, swelling and itching. Some of the lumps are still on my butt from the first two. We did the arm this time but it was worse and I've been taking them for 3 or 4 months now. The first two injections I saw no changes in my hallucinattions and visual disturbances or hearing something that I figured was only spoken to me type issues...but after waking up feeling as if I was a repile or had snakes crawling all over me I went to the ER then straight to get that 3rd injection and I was bedridden for 3 days and slowly recovered to excellent health and feeling 100%. I have to reteach myself not to fall into phycosis habit like overfucusing and stuff but its like I am a new person. I'm happy with this 234 dose so far and I hope it continues to work. I have gained 10 lbs but eating healthy can help with that also. Good luck you all.Read More Read Less
