Is a big relief and has helped with the pain. mine is iv form that I take with me, since I had cancer and stayed 6 weeks or more in the hosptial! I have been on it since Oct.2012.

Was given this in the ER for severe abdomin & chest pain. worked great but had a headache for 2 days afterwards

I had a severe migraine lasting 2 days and nothing would break it. Went to ER and got this drug in my IV. It took care of my headached quickly, but it did make me dizzy and I could feel it surging through my body.

Had a severe case of diverticulitis and was initially given IV morphine. To my dismay after the 1st dose the morphine stopped working and they gave me Dilaudid instead. Thank God for this stuff! I had never been in so much pain before in my life. With Dilaudid I was able to rest and allow my body to heal, thankfully avoiding surgery. Comment:
The only thing that could help my pain fr a herniated disk that had displaced the nerve root. It was iv n only lasted abt 2 hrs max but the nurses piggy backed it w norco pill. So my pain was managed pretty well. Dilaudid took my pain away w in 3 min. I will forever be greatful for it. I only needed it 1 time aftr surgery,since the main pain was gone.
