I mixed mine with cold ginger ale. I drank it very quickly with a straw, then followed up with two containers of very cold water. The first dose started working within an hour. I did experience slight dizziness which passed quickly and extreme chills. I had only soft diet for three days prior so I was pretty much clear before second dose. Stay very close to bathroom, no cramping. I did feel it was...

Mild bowel movement only despite following doctor's instructions. "Only share your first hand experience..." I think you mean to say "Share only your first hand experience."

Suprep was a complete failure for me. Started drinking the solution at 5:30 pm and finished at 6. Felt nauseous for a couple of hours and waited for something to happen. At 10 pm, I started having severe abdominal cramps (doubled over in pain bad) several times an hour until 4am. Nothing was coming out except gas. Finally at 6 am after a night of no sleep, I had a bowel movement that was pretty normal. Since my appointment was at 10, I had to call and cancel. Kept having periodic bowel movements until 2 that afternoon. They became more watery as the day progressed but never became clear. Now the doctor wants me to do a TWO day prep with Golytely. Not sure what I'm going to do....Read More Read Less

This rx did it's job but I got so sick. I vomited for 2 days. This was my first colonoscopy and will ask my dr for something different next time.

Just completed my third colonoscopy using SuPrep. I was really dreading this prep but I knew I had to get it down to get a complete colonoscopy. I mixed the bottles with cold smart water. (I did not refrigerate the bottles) I transferred the mixture to a Starbucks tumbler with a straw which kept it cold. I gave myself an hour for the first round to finish. I held my nose and tried taking 10 good sips at a time. After each sip, I swished with ginger beer (this is non alcoholic) and water. This really helped as the taste is very salty and I think bitter. After completing, I consumed a Stanley tumbler full of smart water. It took 20 minutes to hit after completion. It definitely cleans you out. In the morning, I repeated but it did take me two hours to get down but that’s ok. I was so full and nauseous at that point, I gave myself grace. Followed with another Stanley tumbler of smart water. I did vomit this round but managed to finish and I was cleaned out great. It doesn’t taste good but the volume of liquid is manageable. I’m a very petite lady with “tight turns” so I needed to make sure I could get this right. The ginger beer swishing was key. My colonoscopy was a success, I’m so relieved due to colorectal cancer history in my family. I know it’s scary and an inconvenience but just power through and get it done. Going through this prep is better than having treatment for colon cancer. You can do it. Good luck.Read More Read Less

It tastes like INSECTICIDE! This is the worst tasting bowel prep I've ever used. None of them taste great but Suprep was way beyond the others. Just horrible! If the doctor won't give me something different next time, I'll be seeing a different doctor.

Honestly the texture and taste are awful. However, I just pushed through it and it defiantly did its job. If you follow all directions given to you by your Doctor you shouldn’t have any issues. No other side effects and was pretty well cleaned out after first dose. I did not eat anything the day I started my prep. Helped immensely with clean out!

This was the worst method used in my life. I even vomited. Never happened to me before. I hated it with all my heart.

After reading all the current reviews, I took some key tips to use which I will share. Working in healthcare, I knew the process. To make it easier on myself, I ate really light starting 6 days in advance. White rice, potatoes, veggies, eggs, small meals, etc. No meat, nothing heavy, no full meals. It was worth it because I didn't have much to clean out! If you pig out until your clear liquid day, you're going to have more to get out of you. I did mix the first prep bottle (which had been chilled overnight) with very cold water and 2 Crystal light lemonade packets. Drinking with a straw didn't help much....it was horribly salty and even holding my nose and sucking on a lemon drop and chasing with water didn't help. Took me almost 2 hrs to get that down. I added more than the 10oz of water to it to dilute it more so it was more than 16oz total. But luckily that 1st round was all I needed. Within 2 hrs, I was completely clear (if you know you know). I decided not to do the 2nd bottle after a few hours of bathroom trips because I literally had nothing left in me. The 2nd bottle was supposed to be done 4 hrs after the first one then Miralax the next morning. I needed neither one because I had eaten so light for days in advance. For reference, I am 5'8" and 120 lbs and as someone else mentions in their review, these instructions aren't weight based. So someone larger that eats a lot more than I do probably needs both doses. I was happy not to do anything past the 1st bottle because honestly I'm not sure I could have gotten it down. I hydrated with a lot of Core hydration water, banana popsicles and a little chicken broth. Had 2 polyps removed which were benign so now I'm good for 7 years. Prep is way worse than the procedure but take some of the tips in the other reviews that will work for you to get the prep down and EAT LIGHT several days in advance. It's really worth it because I was finished in a few hours and wasn't up all night running to the bathroom! Good luck!!Read More Read Less

I have used many bowel preps and this was by far the worst! It tasted so awful even with a popsicle ready after each gulp. I managed to get through the first one and it was definitely effective. However, after the second bottle, I barely got started and began vomiting profusely. There was no way I could finish this prep. I should have gone with my old standby which is the Miralax prep with Dulcolex. It's not pleasant either but at least I can hold that one down. I will never use this product again. I'm 5 days post surgery and even the thought of it, still makes me gag and feel nauseous. I'm not sure how people say the taste is not too bad!Read More Read Less

This was my first time using Suprep to prep for a colonoscopy. For reference, I used GoLightly for the previous 3. The taste was unbearable, it was rancid overly sweet and bitter. After the first bottle, but before the movements started…I was overcome with nausea, headache and was unable to regulate my body temperature (purple nails, white fingers and toes and all over body marbling). When the BMs started they were tolerable , but by the second bottle and another 32 oz of water I could no longer bear combination of cold, nausea, headache and popping and said fuck it…I laid in the tub with the warm shower running until the BMs slowed ( 4+ hours). It cleared me effectively but the nausea and headache lasted well into the next day. I will be insisting on GoLightly from here on out because electrolytes are essential when your prepping!Read More Read Less

I’m reading these reviews expecting some nightmarish gag inducing experience drinking this stuff. It’s got a lime flavor, slightly salty. I had no issues. Just drank it like any other usual beverage. All this talk about drinking through a straw, having a chaser ready, etc. It’s all nonsense and not necessary. Just drink it down. It’s seriously no big deal.

No problem at all other than the horrific taste of the prep solution. It’s extremely hard to get down, but I just plugged my nose and drink it as quickly as possible, then brushed my teeth immediately after finishing drinking it. I used very cold water to mix with the solution. Both morning and night, my bowels were cleared out within three hours. My brother had colon cancer at 47 and I’ve had three colonoscopies now at 50, 53 and 58 and it’s better to suffer through the colonoscopy than to go through what he went through with stage four cancer. You can do this, just muscle through it! I had no bad side effects, other than feeling cold and gagging from the taste of the medication. No accidents, just a feeling of having to get to the bathroom as quickly as possible to evacuate. Follow all the directions exactly as directed by your physician and you should have a very clean procedure.Read More Read Less

Positive experience with first time use of suprep for my 3rd colonoscopy, I am almost 61 with genetic history of CCancer in family. Taste was like a sweet tart- not my fav but drank some mixture then take a sip of ginger ale, etc over 20 min until gone. I mixed it with smart water then drank 32oz of liquids over the next 2 hrs. Hot chicken broth, jello It was easy, no ill effects. Took half of the dosage in the morning because I am a smaller person and things were looking clear, worked great! Good Luck everyone.Read More Read Less

Used this hideous prep as it is the only one the gastroenterologist would prescribe for colonoscopy. Sick as a dog, up all night. Post colonoscopy report states “suboptimal prep,” and they want me to do it again in a year. Probably not, but one thing is sure: any gastroenterologist that insists on this prep has no credibility with me. May never be another colonoscopy in my future, but there’s definitely a new gastroenterologist. Don’t use this junk,

By far the worst colonscopy prep I’ve had to take. Strongly prefer to go back to mag citrate and ducolax tabs, which worked well and never made me feel nauseous like this garbage did. Spent much of the night leading up to my 8:15am colonoscopy trying hard not to throw up

Yeah, this is some nasty-tasting stuff. I mixed it with Gatorade Blue and had it down within 15 minutes. I don't know how anyone could just down it. Normally, I can't down any liquid in that quantity that quickly much less one that tastes as bad as that. Mixing it with your favorite sports drink will make it easier, IMO. I will say, though, it served its purpose. I downed first dose at 6 PM and was done three hours later. No waking at night except to get rid of all that water I had to drink. Morning dose went down easier. I did not experience any nausea although I am a bit jittery from my body having all its nutrients removed. Now, it's on to the procedure. Good luck!Read More Read Less

Using suprep for my 4th colonoscopy has been so much better than drinking the gallon of golytely. Tastes better too. I followed all instructions. Hydrated with a liter of water before taking suprep. Used apple juice as a chaser with each sip. Chilled both bottles and water used for mix. Started prep at 5. On toilet by 5:30 on and off until 9:30. Went to bed and slept soundly, waking once to empty bladder. Started morning with black coffee and mixed 2nd half of prep at 7:30 for an arrival at Gastro clinic 12:30 pm. Read More Read Less

I normally don't write reviews; however, I felt that I needed to share my experience with Suprep Bowel Prep. For me, this prep was so much better than the Gatorade and Miralax Prep. The Miralax Prep kept me up all night and into the next morning. Suprep did not. I tried my first dose of Suprep with water. The instructions said mix with cold water and drink it quickly with a straw, which I did. The second dose was a total nightmare! I didn't mix it with water, I tried Sprite, huge mistake! Due to the carbonation in the Sprite, I could not drink it fast and it tasted terrible! Taking the prep with cold water is much better! Once you get it down, the prep starts working pretty quickly. I will request Suprep when I have my next Colonoscopy. Chase the prep with orange gatorade, or lemon drop candy. Read More Read Less

NEVER AGAIN! Suprep does it's job but has extreme side affects! First dose went well. I was told to take 8 Dulcolax after 2 hours and my second dose at 4 hours. It was hard to get down the putrid tasting liquid for dose 2! I vomited ALL of the second dose an hour after I took it. I got severe chest cramps (from vomiting) and leg cramps that still hurt 2 days later. It's been 4 days since my procedure, I'm eating normally but have to make a bowl movement about every 3 hours! NEVER AGAIN! I would NOT recommend this and advise strongly against it. Get a mental picture in your mind of a Suprep sign with a BIG RED X through it!Read More Read Less

I followed the Suprep kits instructions except I used 10 oz. Of lemonade to mix with the prep liquid. I also used a big straw and put it as far as possible without choking on it. The lemonade made it possible to get it all drank without throwing it up. I also cut up a fresh lemon and cut it into 4 pieces. I would bite into a piece after each drink and it took away any bad taste in my mouth from the prep drink. It took me about 35 minutes to drink all 16 oz's. It began working in about an hour. No stomach pain or cramping. No nausea either, or headache. I have to take the second dose in the morning but I don't expect any problems. Hope this helps you. Read More Read Less
