I'm really surprised to hear all of these negative reviews because I've had a really great experience with Beyaz. A few years ago, I was taking regular Yaz and I really liked it. After I lost my insurance I switched to a generic that was cheaper, Lo Ovral. On Lo Ovral, I got frequent headaches and gained about ten pounds. So as soon as I got my insurance back, I switched to Beyaz (Yaz now has a ge...

I gave 3 stars for each question, because I just began taking BeYaz this week and have yet to know what results it will yeild. But today is my 3rd day in and I woke up EXTREMELY nauseaus. I usually enjoy a cup of coffee right away in the morning, but I couldnt even bare to drink it my stomach was so quesy. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced nauseau this intensely and if it ever subsid...

I've been on Beyaz for about 2 weeks. I started on the 1st day of my cycle and have been bleeding ever since. I've taken birth control in the past so I expected some irregular spotting the 1st few months, but in the past, I would get my period as usual and maybe mid-month spot for a day or 2. I'm not just spotting. I've been bleeding like I'm in the middle of my period every single day. It's annoying but I knew there would be an adjustment period and just planned to wait it out. What I can't wait out are the other side effects. I've started experiencing signs of depression (uncontrollable crying, mood swings, thoughts of hurting myself). I'm also having a hard time sleeping and my appetite is almost non-existent. I've been getting headaches, stomach cramps and occasional diarrhea. The only thing that has changed in my daily routine the past 2 weeks has been taking Beyaz. I can't think of any other reason for my recent issues. Read More Read Less

Other than the price, I absolutely loved this bc. I had mild nausea, and my period was a little late (normal when switching bc). I always have broken out on my chin, and once I finished my first pack, my skin was flawless again! I also changed skin regemin (3 step system clean and clear advantage) I have yet to see a pimple!

I've been on BC for 12 years but I switched to Beyaz because the cost was lower than my previous BC (loestrin 24). I knew that it would a few weeks to get acclimated to the new meds and prepared myself for an emotional roller coaster but within 30min of taking the first pill I started to itch and I was having a hard time swallowing. I didn't account to the pill immediately because I have never had a reaction like that before. The swollen feeling continued for about 6 hours until it tapered off. The next two days were the same, with the fourth being the worst. I felt like I couldn't breathe, and that my chest and throat were tight. The sensation lasted all the way through the evening. I called my Dr immediately in the AM (when of course I felt fine, pre-pill) and switched back to the loestrin 24. No more Beyaz for me thanks. Read More Read Less

medication is effective as birth control, but i am completely unsatisfied with the side effects. But i didn't realize it was from the BeYaz until I read these comments. I was switched from Yaz when I turned 40 for the calcium. Now 2 months later, my headaches and periods are worse. I've always slept well, not now. And the nausea is everyday now. I was thinking food allergies or something. My husband thought I had become an emotional nut. (now I have an excuse) Thank you for this site.

I have been taking Beyaz for about 4 months and I am unhappy with it. Yaz was definitely a little better. I start spotting by the second week of the taking the pill which then leads into a period. Headaches are horrible, insomnia many nights and mood swings are bad. I get irritated and cry easily. This is definitely not the pill for me. I stopped taking it 5 days ago and hoping I see some changes soon.

My doctor switched me to Beyaz from Ortho Tri- Cyclin even though I am not as emotional as I was before I still feel extremely emotional and moody and lash out for no reason. However I feel maybe birth controll just isnt for me.

recently switched to Beyaz from Tri-Nessa ( the generic of Ortho-Tricyclin) I usually think the side effects or the reviews are always the extreme cases, even if i do get some, it'd be temporary or in my mind. HOWEVER, with Beyaz, I have been feeling really OFF. I've been experiencing extreme gloomy/moodiness for no particular reason. libido level is negative, heartburn, dizziness, extreme trouble to focus. I thought I was going psycho until I've found reviews on this board and other sites. it is somewhat comforting to see people with similar side effect experiences, as an assurance that I am not going nuts. Also, I have been bleeding non-stop since this new pill. I dislike it!Read More Read Less

I also broke out with a severe case of acne on my upper body and have never had that before and I'm 40 years old. I decided to go on birth control to help that and my mood swings during the month. After first month using this I have my acne has cleared up but I also used an anti yeast pill as well. I did however have a very heavy period with major blod clots that I never experienced before. I have using for 1 month,

My gyno switched me to Beyaz after being on Yaz for 3 years. I can't really tell a difference except my fingernails seem to be less brittle.

I was off the pill for a year, thinking I was at the age to stop taking them, I did. Upon visiting my Dr. he said I could go back on them if I wanted and they might help with some hormone issues. He gave me some beyaz samples to try. I just started taking them and I feel really aweful. I had major nausea and headache I never had any with my other birth control pills. I decided to look for more information about beyaz. I am glad others have posted to this site. I am going back to the Dr. for my old birth control pills-hopefully.Read More Read Less

I have been on Yaz for two years, and my Dr. recently placed me on Beyaz. The first day I took it I broke out in awful itchy hives, Contact the Dr. and was told it could not be due to BeYaz, the second day took it again, and had the same problems but the symptoms were much worse. I am stopping it all together.

I love these pills! I switched because Yaz went generic. I have moderate acne and my complexion is beautiful on this pill. Also, my energy level has increased due to the added vitatmins. My only complaint is that I tend to have painful cramps. Limbido is the same as on any other pill (I was on loestrin for some time). I may have gained 4-5lbs but nothing the treadmill can't fix. My period was once a day late on Beyaz which caused for some panic but other then that I feel great, I look great.

I have been on Beyaz for 2 months now, I've had major problems in the past with other birth controls (NeCon and OrthoCyclen) in the past, large weight gain, moodiness, etc. I love Beyaz, I haven't gained any weight since I started taking it, my libido did decrease a little in the first month of taking it but it has since returned to where it was BEFORE I was on ANY birth control. I haven't had mood swings with Beyaz like I have in the past either. My periods are much lighter and I have almost no cramping, which was a major issue for me in the past. I would definitely recommend that you try this if you are looking for a birth control, especially to control PMDD.Read More Read Less

I used Beyaz for a total of 1 full pack and 1 week from the next month. It seemed to be pretty effective that first month in controlling my mood swings w/ PMS. Also, my period was much much lighter. However, I started experiencing dizzy spells to the point where I couldn't be at work and function. Also, muscle pain/ general aches in all major muscle groups. I was up to taking 1200 mg ibuprofen per day just to deal with the pain. I have been off it for 72 hours now, with much improvement. Will seek more natural remedies to treat PMS/PMDD. I had a horrible experience taking Beyaz, I've been taking birth control for approximately 12 years and have never experienced anything like i did. After about 2 months on Beyaz I started having really weird dizzy spells, feeling nauseous, and over all not feeling well. I had no idea when these things started happening what was going on. I narrowed it down and finally realized it could be the pill, so I went to the doctor, and he read the list of possible side effects and told me to finish this cycle then we would switch. I took two more days of this pill and on that second day had a horrible dizzy spell and decided on my own not to take another pill. Two days later I could tell a HUGE difference. And slowly after being off of it for a month I am back to normal, thankfully. Read More Read Less

I have been taking Yaz for 7-8 months. I switched to Beyaz because Yaz went generic. While on Yaz I became extremely depressed. I've heard of that happening to other also. I take adderall also for ADD and that helps with the depression. I've been taking Beyaz for a week now and I'm experiencing extreme stomach pains and nausea. My period also hasn't stopped, mainly spotting. My stomach pains are severe. Not cramping, stabbing stomach pain and nausea. Yaz seemed great, no problems really, and it cleared up my face!! Loved it. Thought Beyaz would be the same, so far, I don't think so. Read More Read Less

I love YAZ, but I suspect Beyaz has significantly decreased my libido. I have had difficulty with becoming aroused during sexual intercourse every since beginning this medication. Certainly going back to YAZ asap.
