This medication reduced the level of my coughing by 75 percent after the first dosage. Did experience a lot of urination so one must drink a lot of water.

did not work, nearly passed out from coughing fit.

tastes horrible. doesnt suppress cough AT ALL! I HATE IT. Any recommendations on another cough syrup people have had sucess with?

Taking this for bronchitis. Keeps me up all night and doesn't really suppress my cough. Prescribed 10 ml every four hours as needed.

As some other reviews mentioned, it did nothing for me except keep me up all night, which can't be good for my cold.

Easy to take, not to bad on the taste buds. But it did NOTHING! It did not make me tired, but the opposite, up all night. Did NOTHING for cough. Waste of money.

I was given the generic brand Iophen-c NR and coughed a lot more using the generic brand ,(the so called equivalent to Cheratussin AC),after being on both, i highly recommend the Name brand Cheratussin AC to which did in fact, control my coughing episodes a lot better. I contracted Stage 3 lymphatic/lung cancer to my right lung.So far this is going on my second year of survival,after chemotherapy and radiation.remember to consult your Physician before taking any prescribed medications.~Sir Satisfied Read More Read Less

Stop my cough due to Bronchitis very quickly. Taste isn't as bad as some of these review suggest. Drink a lot of water with this medicine.

Having an upper and chest URI, chest congestion, this Is the only medication I had to relieve my symptoms, I had Taken the year before and still had some. Highly recommend this in addition to Allerga-D, I feel like it really opened up my congestion in my lungs! No side effects noted!!

It helps my cough, but I get very dizzy with this medicine.

I have to be honest; being a narcotic I thought it was heavy duty and would work great. I was prescribed due to bronchitis, my recommended dosage was 5ml (my doctor said 7.5ml wouldn't hurt) and after taking 7.5ml at once, I still found myself coughing. I wasn't even really tired by it. I feel like it definitely helped suppress the cough after a bit but certainly didn't make it go away--or suppress it even as much as i thought it would.

Shocked by the other reviews. I have coughed for 3 weeks and this is the only thing that has helped so far(just started antibiotics and steroids today). This tastes fine, and has drastically helped my cough.

This has to be the worst tasting medicine I have ever had. It literally makes you want to vomit when you take it. Highly suggest mixing it with a cherry syrup or something to mask the taste.

Burns like fire. Jerked all night. Still had the cough.

My husband has had a productive cough for the last 2 days. He began Cheratussin AC Oral yesterday. His coughing has dramatically reduced and he is sleeping soundly. This med has been great.

So far ok--only had 2 doses. It would help to know the dose & strength for each review--taking 1 or 2 t could make a difference in effectiveness.

Cheratussin AC is awesome. I feel like I'm flying. Took it for strep throat--nothing hurts after taking a big gulp of this stuff.

Did not help my cough or sleep. I am up every three hours coughing.
