This is the 2nd time in 2 months diagnosed with bronchitis. 1st time my PvP gave me Promethazine CD Codeine syrup. It helped make coughing more productive but also stopped my coughing attacks. This time, had to see my PvP' s assistant n he prescribed the Cheratussin AC. WASTE OF MONEY. Same dosage & frequency...not helping at all. Within 10 minutes of taking it I'm back in full blown cough attacks, gobs of thick mucous coughed n also blowing out my nose. I was coughing constantly and my throat hurt. This helped both problems, plus helped me sleep.

I was given this at the ER where I was diagnosed with pneuma, it hasn't helped my cough or congestion one bit. NyQuil helped me better than this stuff!! Don't waste your money!

I have abdominal pain that I couldn't figure out why it hurt so bad I thought it was for other reasons but now I know reading the other comments. Hasn't helped my cough any.

A waste of your time taking this and waste of money buying it. It has not helped my cough at all. I have continued to cough my head off since I started it. I wouldn't waste my time getting it filled again.

Holy crap! This stuff knocked me on my a___ took me two days 2 wake up.

This medicine is completely awful tasting! I even went back to the pharmacy and paid to have them flavor it, but that only made it worse! EW! EW! EW! Not only is it bad going down, but the taste lingers for about an hour. I wish it was in a pill form just so I didn't have to taste it! As far as the coughing spells go (I had whooping cough, but still have coughing spells even though the bug is gone), I'm on the fence on if this helps at all.

This stuff got rid of my sore throat and loosened things up making me feel a LOT better. It has kept me awake though and does taste awful. Worth it to get rid of that sore throat!

Each 5mL contains: Codeine Phosphate 10mg, Guiafenesin 100mg, Alcohol 3.5%.

with throaght infections this medicine works very well and in numbing the soarness.

Why am I still awake and coughing? This cough syrup sucks big time. I feel like NyQuil would have been more effective. I am so frustrated!!!

The good news is I got it over the counter. I had know clue you could get codeine with out a RX. Anyway, it's better then any other OTC cough med but the stuff with hydrocodene (sp?) works so much better! It makes me feel better as far as the chest pain and not drowsy at all. So far this with plain codeine has made me feel a little loopy & I'm still coughing. My chest & ear is not hurting as bad but I would much rather have the hyrdrocodeine instead!!

Dafuq doesn't it list the amounts of active ingredients?? And you can't find it online? I would like to know HOW MANY MILLIGRAMGS of medicine I am taking! That's too much to ask. Infuriating.

Not the best tasting medicine, but it has helped me. I'm taking it due to cough and sore throat associated with sinisitis. I've had more productive coughs and my throat no longer hurts. Unlike many others, it hasn't made me drowsy and only upsets my stomach if it's empty.

Dr. Prescribed this for me for a bad cough. Whole week I took it had SEVERE STOMACH PAIN. Last day looked it up and its one of the side affects. The 3 of the days I had Insomnia. Not good. Taste awful.never again!!!

started takin a day ago. tastes aweful. works ok on cough. not great. gives me a massive headache every time i take it. will be calling doctor today for something different.

About 15 minutes after taking this medicine, i got really tired and had a hard time keeping my eyes open. It allowed me to sleep for a couple hours but when i woke up i had a horrible head ache, and a little nausia.

I took this medicine for my cough. I waited until about 10 at night because I wasn't sure how long it would take for the drowsiness to kick in, and I have children I wanted to be asleep first. After about 10:30 I was out and slept all night, no coughing! I woke up feeling great!
