I guess you never know which birth control is best for you until you try it because everyone's body reacts differently. I have never gotten pregnant while on this and it's great not having to take pills at the same time everyday. It's hard to know if this has altered my mood since it's not the only factor. Terrible The first two weeks i was in pain and crying all the time, i had some attacks of anxiety and also spotting every day since i got it, i went to my doctor to tried to take that out of my body and he doesn't want to do it because is afraid of fraud because my insurance paid for it.

My first 2 months I spotted on and off . Sometimes red and sometimes brown but a very foul smell to it worse than normal period blood. This kinda interfered with my sex life only because it would be so light to where I wouldn't notice he bleeding then I would see brown and smell a Oder while having sex which was so uncomfortable. Overall, I have not had any other side effects besides the spotting. I hate having my regular period of 5 days so spotting for three weeks is just frustrating. I just want it to stop. I'm over the spotting. I want to take this out ASAP! I've had the implant for 4 months now, and it's worked perfectly. The first month my period lasted 3 weeks, but it was extremely light, the second month it lasted 6 days and again extremely light, and the third and fourth month I haven't had a period at all.
