I have to take 1 Capsule of IC VIT D2 (50,000 Unit) ONCE A WEEK. I notice my stools are a dark green of slimmy consistency and very foul smelling.

Be very careful to understand that Vitamin D 50000 comes in a green gel cap. Vitamin D 5000 does NOT come in a green gel cap! I was given 50000 once a week by one doctor and then I changed doctors who gave me 5000 of Vit D3 once a day. The pharmacy gave me the 50000 IU of Vit. D2 in a bottle labeled 5000 IU of D3. Big mistake! on my way to get a D level. Take Vit D for an autoimmune disease

I have taken this vitsmin for 8 weeks and once a month for 4 months. I can tell the differance betweek the weekly dose and the monthly dose. I have more energy, lowered my prediabetes and I do not take naps in the afternoon when i was taking the weekly dose. I also had less pain in my joints. I also have gout and arthritis since I was 30. I am now 70 and the pain is better now than it has been in years.

When I first started taking D-2 I had no side effects. Later I had trouble with my eyes (trouble focusing) and with my head feeling odd. I felt dizzy and about to faint. I actually fainted on several occassions. I also feel pressure in my left ear and left side of my head.

I have had severe joint pain for years. My hips would hurt so bad in the morning I thought I would have to have someone get me out of bed. Once I was up for a while I would feel much better. I have been tested for just about everything and the only thing that came up was the vitamin d defiency. I have taken the supplement prescribed by the dr fr about 6 weeks. I can't remember the last time I felt this good.not only has the pain been reduced about 90% but my mood has gone from extreme depression to incredibly happy. Maybe the Doctors should take a look at this instead of trying to put everybody on antidepressants. Read More Read Less

I just got put on 50,000 iu of vitamin d2 once a week for deficiency and the first time I took it I got really dizzy and nauseated. Today I took it and I started vomiting, shaking, feeling very confused, almost felt "disjointed" from my body. Having horrible reactions. Almost felt like going to the ER. I drank some water and vomited a few times and am feeling a little better. I don't know what to do to fix my deficiency when I am having horrible reactions to the d2.

I took 2,000 I.U. once tab in the morning and 1 tab at night. I was getting really stiff in my joints, especially my arms and could't figure out why this was happening. One morning I was walking towards the kitchen and I fainted, and I mean I went down like a bag of rocks, I face planted right into the corner of a door frame and that woke me up. I never hit the floor but had one sore face and a lump on my head. I am 55 years old and I have never fainted in my life, but that morning I never knew what hit me. I got to thinking about Vitamin D and started reading up on the side effects and realized that's probably what happened to me. The recommended dosage on the bottle says "one tab a day". I over-looked that part. I started taking one tab and now I'm not nearly as stiff anymore. Next time I will read the recommended dosage on the bottle, I didn't know a vitamin could kick my butt but this one literally took me out. Read More Read Less

I have noticed that my knees do not ache as much since I have been taking this (about three months). I do notice that I get a little crabby about 2 hours after taking, but it goes away. I take it at night now. BUT over all, my experience has been good!
