The best advice I read on the internet was from a female straight doctor who said, "IF I TESTED POSITIVE FOR HIV, I WOULD START TAKING MEDICATION WITHIN THE HOUR." I was so nervous and worried before I started Stribild. I shouldn't have been. I had light side effects for one to two weeks (felt a bit queasy/headachy like a mild hangover). Then no side effects since. I just take this every da...

My labs are all normal and have been for 29 years. Doctors have been stressing everybody should be on meds whether normal labs or not. Finally I started on Sribild and have regretted it tremendously. It's been almost 3 weeks. stomach cramps, nausea every single (did I say "every" sing le day). I would NOT recommend this med or any to someone like myself. The establishment should be penalized...

I learned that I was HIV positive on April 23, 2013 with a viral load of 50,000. By august my viral load was 99000. I am not one who likes to take medication and was extremely nervous and upset about starting my treatment. I finally found the courage after being tired of feeling bad all the time, probably due to the stress and emotional anguish over my status, and started striblid on September 27, 2013. I expected the worse as far as side effects. I take my pill in the morning with my normal breakfast of two boiled eggs. It is now 5 months later and I feel great. No side effects except and occasional afternoon bout of diarrhea, which hasn't been severe at all. Having this drug available to us has been a blessing. It has brought my viral load to non-quantified, which is one small step from non-detectable. I feel normal again (as normal as one can with the added vigilance of having the virus). I am very happy with the results of this medication. I believe that my next Dr App which is in Dec. I will be undetectable if not already.Always keep your Appointments and have your Labs drawn when the Dr tells you to. FOLLOW directions !!! and talk with your Dr.

I started stribild in Dec 2012, since then I have been ill, I have had a continuous psin on my shoulder, unbearable till now, I really feel sick! my shoulder pains, my arm feels pains with vibrations, and pains like nerve pinch and needle pinching on the whole arm, and the pain from my right side on my face and neck, i feel very weak most of the time, and my knees pains and my feet pains and I get muscle pains as well as numbness! I cannot take the pain any longer, the arm is so weak that I cannot even work. Horrific experience for me, I took truvada, and insentress before and never experienced any problems, but because I wanted to take a one day tablet, it is not working for me. Please help!Read More Read Less

This drug is effective, but causes drug interactions with Claritin and albuterol, hormones, and MANY other supplements, teas, and foods. It is ridiculously dangerous because doctors do not tell you about the interactions, prescribe other drugs that have higher elevations than are therapeutic causing dangerous side effects, and ER staff dismissed a drug interaction as anxiety because the drug interaction checker program they used did not indicate an interaction with progesterone. I can't control ANY of my other issues because of Stribild. I'd rather take it twice a day than in a once-daily pill so that I can manage my other problems. Why the integrate inhibitor in this is not offered as a single medication, unboosted, is beyond my comprehension. This formula is a very bad idea! People will have serious interactions with surgical anesthesia and the doctors do not understand the cytochrome inhibition by cobicistat in Stribild and how it raises blood levels of medications metabolized by the p450 cytochrome, enzymes, particularly CYP3A4, the main enzyme of the P450s which over half of all medications are involved. Be careful and be well.Read More Read Less

I just take this every day in the morning. The medicine works fantastic. Infected in May, 2012, I had terrible acute HIV for 3 weeks in July, 2012. I reached a set point of over 100,000 viral load by October, 2012 with two tests months apart showing CD4 under 400. I met the informal criteria for a "rapid progresser." It was all bad news, bad news, bad news. Then I started Stribild. As of my December, 2012 test my viral load is under 200 and my CD4 is an unbelievable 1201. My doctor thinks it will be undetectable soon, maybe my next test. Let me stress its so easy to take one pill a day and there are no side effects. I really like (1) knowing that I am less infectious, (2) maintaining my CD4 count at a high level rather than the low level it would be at if I'd waited a few years to start, and (3) dramatically limiting the damage the virus does to my immune system and organs. If you find out you have HIV please try to go on this medication right away. You'll feel physically and mentally better once you do. It's a true miracle drug. If you're a doctor help your patient by making a strong recommendation. I was an emotional wreck inside and I'm glad I had a doctor who was strong enough to push hard to do the right thing for my health.Read More Read Less
