It has given me my life back. I have been on it two weeks have gone everyday. The bowel movements are soft to loose. I no longer live in pain.

Have been taking this for 8 days and have not had a bowel movement, just excessive gas! At $95.00 you would think it would work!!!!

This drug caused immediate incontinence. I'm 59 and found it strange that incontinence might begin so early.

I've just started this medication, but so far it seems to be working.

I was suffering with severe abdominal pain, nausea, just feeling very poorly with my IBS. I felt like I was always sick, but since starting Linzess, most days I feel "normal" again! Which is great for me! I have tried everything and Linzess works very well for me!

I don't see a change in my condition; but I've only been taking it for 3 weeks; in the meantime I am uncomfortable.

I have three bowel movements a week but continue to have gas and bloating although im finally passing gas im starting on my second week im keeping w it but still not doing that well ive gained twenty pounds but hardly eat and get daily exercise symptoms started in april and ive tried every thing diet exercise high fiber laxitives tests hopefully this med will help im going to see if I can take more I have to find out if u can take it twice daily ill call doctor Monday

I Had Lower Back Surgery On 5/9/2013!! Seen My Gastronologist: And. Because. I Had To Go Back To Hospital Two Times Now!! 5/18/2013 And On 5/24/2013. For Servere Fecal Impaction Performed:( And. While I Was In Hospital A Dr. Pushed On My Abdomen 3x:( And. It Sent Me Right Back To Servere Musle Spasms!! I Had Gastroparesis Last Year. And. Had To Have Feeding- Tube Put-In or 2Months:( So. That's Why He Gave This New Drug For Me o Dry!! Saturday. I Woke Up With A Rash On Both Legs! From My Ankles Up About 6in., Having Hard Time Breathing, And. Also. Feels Like I Have A Film Over My Eyes! Started Taking It On 6/12/2013:( So. I Discontinued It Of Corse. Put Cortizone 10 On Rash, And. Taking Benedril To See If It Goes Away!! If. My Gastronologist Dr. Perscribed This For Me On June 12th. For. Muscle Spasms In Abdomen. And. For Having Better Bowel Movements!!!! On This Past Saturday!!! I Broke Out In A Rash On Both Legs. From. My Ankles To About 6in. Up, And. Had Trouble Breathing, And My Eyes Feel Like There's A Film Over Them. Got A Hold Of Dr. And Said To Discontinue!!! Now. Using Cortizone 10 For Rash And Benedril Every 4Hours For 2Days Now!! No Relief Yet:( I Know This Is A New Medication Out!!! And. I Just Had Servere Lower Back Surgery On 5/09/2013 And. Of Course Wearing A Back Brace!! Last Year I Had Gastroparesis And. Had To Have Feeding- Tube Put In For 2Months!!!And While In Hospital.The Dr. Pushed On My Abdomen So Bad. effective but too expensive for chronic use

It's unfair to rate this only on the very first day on Linzess 290mcg. But nothing so far. My stomach hurts to touch it, N I am bloated like I am nine months pregnant. But I will post again after using it one week. Crossing fingers for any relief. Wishful thinking, Debs from Texas.

I've only been on this medication for a little over a week. It definitely makes me go, but without warning and immediately. I'm 38 and I've pooped my pants 4 times this week. Unless this changes soon, this drug will not do!

The first few days the drug seemed to make me have bowel movements, then it went to every three to four days. After one month on medication I have experienced severe bloating,dizziness,sleepiness and my ears feel clogged up constantly. It just makes me feel ill within 1/2 hour of taking the dose each day. There has to be a better way of dealing with constipation!

I have taken Lizness for one month--going back and forth between the larger and smaller dosage. My doctor also wants me to drink at least one glass of Miralax daily. I have experienced spontaneous explosive diarrhea. This generally starts in the morning after I take Lizness, wait 30 minutes and eat breakfast. I have bloating, some cramping, and my stomach makes awful sounds. I have no warning before the diarrhea begins. I have to wear protective underwear. I am glad some individuals have had success with Lizness. It is not for me.Read More Read Less

I have had problems with my bowels for years. I had STARR procedure done several yrs ago still didn't help. I go up to two wks without having a bowel movement. Finally I was given this drug 5/7/13 and so far so good. I don't have bowel movement everyday but it is sure better than before. Sometimes I only have one bowel movement a day with this med. It's true you have to drink alot of water and eat alot of fiber. I hope this is the med for me and hopefully I will be able to cut back from daily usage. Sometimes I have gas with it as well. From very first dosage, BM totally uncontrollable. Went down to lower dosage -- same result just took 4 or 5 hours instead of 1 to 2 hours. Love emptying finally but have to stay home to use.

I switch from 145 dose to 290 dose every other day for past two months with no problems. I think it may even work to good.

My doctor provided a sample and it worked so well that, with my schedule, I only allowed myself to take one every other day, and it worked each time without side effects or discomfort.
