I posted earlier in Novermber about this drug. You can read what I wrote about Minastrin and Warner Chilcott if you filter these reviews by Most Helpful. I just wanted to give an update. Clearly, Warner Chilcott made a huge mistake by taking a seemingly great birth control (leoestrin) off the market to replace it with this horrible birth control (minastrin). This was all business. The worst busi ... Show Full Comment

I happened to notice one month that I was no longer taking LoEstrin24Fe but rather Minastrin. I did some research online & they all said it was the same medication, so I did not worry. I VERY MUCH disagree with those statements after being on LoEstrin24Fe for about 6 years and then on Minastrin for about 5 months. I take birth control to prevent periods(take it continuously) and to prevent pregnancy. I almost 50. I was taking Loestrin and it was GREAT! No side effects. After being switched to Minastrin I've been spotting and bloated and no energy. Sometimes its hard for me to even raise my arms! I have got to switch.

I was happily on Loestrin FE and was also told that Minastrin was the same thing. I started 5 months ago and each month my PMS has gotten worse and now very heavy periods where as I used to have one barely at all. I am was considering calling my gyn to switch and now I'm convinced after seeing other people are having the same experience.
