I have been diagnosed with severe emphysema. Until 3 days ago I was at the point that inhalers were not doing much good at all and I was overusing them and having heart palpitations and the only thing that helped was my nebulizer. But even that did not produce great results and I felt limited in everything that I did. I was fearful to take my grandchild anywhere by myself and quite frankly was fea...

After trying several different medications, I was beginning to think I was just going to have to live with severe shortness of breath. 30 minutes after my first dose, I felt like a completely different person. I actually ran up the stairs this morning to my office. I haven't been able to do that in a very long time. I've got my life back.

Was on 2 inhalers twice daily plus ventolin for the past year, after switching to Anoro last week I am happy to report less shortness of breath with only one inhalation daily! Haven't needed ventolin at all since starting. Plus it will save me money at the Pharmacy :)

From day one this drug has been a miracle for me. For the first time in many years I can take a deep deep breath and I have all but stopped the use of my ventolin inhaler. It has given me my life back. I don't know for how long it will last but it has been a miracle drug for me. Epensive yes but what is the price for "air" ? any price in my mind….Only side effect I have experienced is a sever metallic taste in my mouth which is very very bothersome- altering the taste of most foods but I am not yet certain whether the inhaler is causing this or past dental implants. I am investigating. Food and drink do not taste right. But eat or breathe? I will take breath any day.Read More Read Less

Been using for 3 mo. now, I've have a bloated/swollen neck and face for the same time also, I feel like my throat is closing up on me but I take Prednisone also 10mg per day, I'm going to try tomorrow not to use this to see if this is causing my face & neck to swell up.

My best friend, who has alzheimer's, has been using this for almost 2 weeks. As a caregiver, I don't see much improvement, if at all, in his breathing and some days he has to use the rescue inhaler a lot!! So, the doctor is switching him to Breva, I think it's called, to see if that one helps him.

Not very fast acting - 2 to 3 hours to feel it's effects. Major side effect so far is muscle cramps - both legs and hands.
