I read some of the reviews here & wanted to add my own to help better round out those made thus far, as if you’re seeing this before (or even shortly after) having used the product, you might be freaking out right now reading these… do remember however, that most people who have had a good, or even neutral, experience rarely look for an opportunity to write a review (until I stumbled across this, I didn’t even know medication reviews were a thing on this site). Seriously though, any of my statistics loving people out there, or those with experience in research methodology or studies, understand that this is a very common form of “sampling error” known as a “selection error.” Basically, the observations you are seeing here will definitely not be representative of the entire population.
Anyway, I used the ampule yesterday around 3pm (after realizing what was going on and buying anything I could find on Amazon that would make my order cross the minimum dollar threshold needed to be eligible for same day delivery - This is my 1st time having such an infection, & man, is this crap uncomfortable!) & applied the cream immediately thereafter. Being a 1st infection of this sort, I will note as well that I do not have any experience with alternative treatments to compare it to. There was nothing immediate that I noticed. Later in the evening, I did end up with some burning & was (still) itchy (the intense itching was a large part of what clued me in to what was going on in the 1st place, so this was not a change in state from when I used the product). The burning sensation was uncomfortable, yes, but by no means did I find it unbearable - I was still able to fully function and interact normally with my family (though I may have been a bit more cranky and agitated because I did feel hella uncomfortable). I honestly attributed the burning sensation (and the itchiness both) to the infection itself as opposed to the treatment - considering that those are symptoms I seen listed everywhere when researching.
I actually only found these reviews when I was attempting to do some research as to how long until I would start to feel better after 1st use (as I thought the 1 day treatment meant it would be fully gone within one day - but I was very much hoping that the discomfort would subside shortly after initial use - I’ve had a few UTIs & found that those would start to feel immensely better very quickly after starting treatment - I realize these are very different things, but my brain wanted to lump them together nonetheless) & was concerned as I had also erroneously assumed that the cream would provide immediate (though temporary) relief of the itching (seriously, they should look into getting some top strength hydrocortisone in there or something…) & it was still insanely itchy…
At 1st the reviews scared me a bit and I thought “oh no… is this current burning & discomfort about to get sooo much worse???” But realized that I was reading those 6-7 hrs now after insertion/application & the others who had a much worse experience, the onset all seemed to range between 1-4 hrs, so figured I was mostly in the clear in that regard - and I was correct!
I went to bed just after midnight (still feeling uncomfortable) and woke up this morning feeling significantly better. I’m definitely not totally “back to normal” yet (it’s presently 9am, so only 18hrs after initial use), but it’s not nearly as bad as it was yesterday before or after use - so I am super hopeful that it is working very quickly & will happily use the product again (hopefully it won’t be needed again, but if so…). Yeast infections are no joke, man! I’ll definitely use whatever will get rid of them the quickest (even if it is more uncomfortable temporarily) and this does seem to be doing that!
But I just wanted to help others who might see these & be freaking out. Some people’s bodies may indeed react to it negatively (pretty sure a few of those I read were actually people having allerRead More Read Less
