Was getting to the point of not being able to walk any distance at all without severe cramping and discomfort. Was experiencing extreme cramping at night in bed ... After 6 weeks of precision consumption of the drug I'm almost totally void of any symptoms, numbness, in my feet. I experience a slight headache and nausea from taking the drug but a couple of "Alieve" in the morning eliminates those p...

SEVERE headaches and nausea. Not sure how much longer I can keep taking this medication with these side effects. Also have asthma and have been wheezing ever since I started taking this med. Am taking 100 mg morning and again at night. Ughhh these headaches are horrible.

Had SEVERE POUNDING in the chest. Felt like someone inside me trying to get out. Felt like heart was going to explode. Also severe pounding and headache. went on all night. The next day after stopping medication, had milder symptoms of the reaction but even they lingered on for three days. Literally thought I was going to die and I am not a winer.

In August 2010 I had surgery to treat peripheral arterial disease, it was successful. I began taking cilostazol (Pletal)in May 2013. I've had minor side effects i.e. a slight headache now and then. I was walking 3-4 times a week on a treadmill at 2.5 to 2.8 miles per hour for 50-65 minutes. The pain level was about 3. After taking the medication for 2 months I am able to walk at 3-3.5 miles an hour for 65-70 minutes. Pain level is about 1, but decreases significantly after the first mile.

It has helped my pain in my legs and ankles very well. Without it when I walked I felt like my legs wouldd give out on me. Also, when walking now I still have some problems but not like before. This medication has really impoved my walking from what it use to be.

My mom took Cilostazol for a few years. She is now in heart failure. Her cardiologist took her off this med as heart failure can be triggered by this medication.

Upon taking the first pill I developed a SEVERE headache. It felt like an ice cream headache but did not stop. The doctor explained that blood rushed to my head as well as thru my legs. I cut the pill in quarters and took one quarter in the am. I continued to add slowly over weeks until I reached the prescribed dosage of one pill in the morning and one at night. I can walk for miles now and even hike. I would recommend easing into the dosage so as not to get headaches.

I have been on this medication for about 1 1/2 months. I have noticed no improvement. I have PAD in both legs. the large vein in my right leg is completely blocked. I can only walk about 10 yards without starting to feel pain in my calves and shins. I did have slight headaches, not disabling, and did have loose stools, but they both went away. I also had my chest start hurting when I exerted myself too much. I'm going back to the DR and tell him I prefer to have the surgery to correct rather than stay on a medication that has no effect.
