I have taken Miralax daily for over 10 years. My life before Miralax was miserable. Hard stools, hours in the bathroom, and many days between bowel movements. It got so bad that I would actually black out when the pain got so bad. I hope Miralax never goes away. I've tried every other stool softner, fiber supplement, etc. They taste bad, and have no impact. Miralax mixes easily into my morni...

JUST AFTER USING THIS PRODUCT FOR THE FIRST TIME, MY GRANDSON AGE 3 WAS DIAGNOSED WITH NEPHROTIS SYNDROME. EVERY TIME I'VE USED IT SINCE HE'S BECAME ILL HE BECOMES PUFFY. I WONDER, DID THE MIRALAX SOMEHOW BRING THIS CONDITION ON? HE WAS PERFECTLEY HEALTHY BEFORE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME CONSTAPATION. HE'S BEEN SICK FOR THREE MONTHS NOW. HE USED THE MIRALAX FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO GETTING IL...

I get very blocked right before my period every month. This is the only way to relieve my discomfort. Works amazing!

I used to only go to the bathroom about once every 2 weeks. Ex-lax never worked for me, and taking extra fiber didn't work either. After reading reviews on this site I decided to try it. This product has been a life saver for me! Now I am going about 3 times a week! That is more than I was going in an entire month! I feel 100 times better. The only thing I don't like is the excess bowel noises I get. But its a small price to pay for finally getting relief. I would recommend this to anyone that is suffering.Read More Read Less

I have Chronic Constipation. My doctor told me to start taking this medication because b.m.'s were accompanied by painful cramping ALL the time. I went from having a b.m. once every 10 days to 1-2 times a day. I feel so much better and my stomach doesn't hurt all the time like it used to! My doctor told me to take this medication regularly. I have been taking it for about a year now.

I never had a problem with constipation until put on a heart medication. Miralax has been a wonderful solution - no bloating, cramping, etc. I haven't seen any side effects at all except possibly a little mouth & nasal dryness in the afternoon. I hope it's as safe as it seems!

My 2 yrs old daughter is a tube feed and always had constipation problems. I used to use prune juice and fletcher's castoria but if I didn't use it daily she would be constipated. Soft one day hard nettles the next. Dr. advised Miralax. I do have some problems with it clogging the tube so I have to really make sure it is dissolved. It took two days for it to work and she is on 2-1/2tsp a day and she has one soft BM a day, today she had two but they are soft not runny. If she gets looser I will decrease the amount. No cramping or gas so far.Read More Read Less

I have suffered with chronic constipation for as long as I can remember. After trying many different products, my doctor finaly recommended Miralax. I had great results, with some cramping and gas, but not unreasonable. After two weeks, however, I had similar symptons as dee4798. I have Fibromyliaga and this product seemed to have "set it off". I stopped taking it and after 4 days the pain disappeared. Now I am reluctant to start taking it again. But I love the results and hate the pain. It is a double edge sword for me.Read More Read Less

I'm using this for constipation type IBS. My stools are easier to pass but sometimes verge on diarrhea and I've experienced some dehydration. I'm reducing my dosage per my doctor and drinking more water.

My son was put on this medication 5 years ago when it was still "perscription". He has suffered with constipation since birth. Without this medication he ends up completely blocked up and has ended up in the hospital. He has had no side effects from it. Takes it in his juice at dinner. He is an active 8 year old with a healthy diet and will remain on Miralax until told otherwise.

My four-year-old son's pediatrician recommended Miralax when he was constipated. After a few days my son developed severe abdominal pain, gas and headaches. We took him off the Miralax even though it was prescribed for a month, and he still has the pain after one full week of quitting the medicine. It has been very frustrating and scary to see your little one in so much pain.

I had been to many, many doctors and on many medications but nobody could help with my IBS. I had SEVERE cramping and it had gotten to the point where I was vomiting and in pain for 8 hours at a time. Miralax saved me. I have not had an attack in 3 years, at least not a severe one. I get bloated and crampy at times now but mildly compared to before and not real often. I take 17gms 2 X per day. I have never found anything else that helped. I have the constipation type of IBS and it really, really helped me. I hope this will help others who have tried everything else. Why not give it a try? Read More Read Less

After recuperating from acute pancreatitis I has a ct scan and they gave me bvarium which made me totally constipated for more than 7 days! I had taken every kind of laxative and also had an enema to no avail I had to go to the er for an impacted bowel and they recomended miralax. I have taken it for4 months and I am normall!! The only worry I have is that I don't know if it makes me lose weight!!!

I have had problems with bowel movements since I was a kid and I am 29 now. I finally have a medicine that works!!! I LOVE IT!!!! THANK GOD!!!! My doctor prescribed this the last time I had to go to the ER for fecal impaction. After being cleared out she prescribed when it was over the counter. I have been taking for a little over a year now with great success!!! Down side I was told I would have to take for the rest of my life twice a day but I have already downed the dose to an as needed basis. I believe in the power of prayer so I have been praying that eventually I won't have to take at all. I also recommend Beyond Fiber Super Seed that you can find at a health store for people that want an organic remedy. My sister was pregnant and was extremely constipated but I was scared to share the Miralax and I gave her the Super Seed and after 5 minutes she was able to go.Read More Read Less

I HAVE HAD CHRONIC PAIN SINCE 2005 AND HAVE BEEN ON SEVERAL NARCOTICS WHICH HAVE A SIDE EFFECT OF CHRONIC CONSTIPATION. I HAVE SUFFERED FOR YEARS BEFORE I WAS TOLD ABOUT MIRALAX. I TRIED MANY DIFFERENT STOOL SOFTNERS,LAXATIVES AND NONE WORK AS WELL AND WITHOUT SIDE EFFECTS. I MIX MINE WITH A GLASS OF ROOT BEER IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE TASTE OR THE TEXTURE. I CAN'T BELIEVE I SUFFERED FOR SO LONG BEFORE I FOUND MIRALAX.TRY IT YOU WILL BE SO PLEASED WITH IT'S RESULTS.
