I have been on this for about 6 months. In the six months I have had light bleeding that lasts almost the entire month. Then I have my full period and would stop bleeding for maybe two or three days, but would always go right back to bleeding lightly here and there throughout the month. It has caused my Ph levels to be thrown off as blood increases your Ph. I have had horrible weight gain and acne...

I have been on different birth controls, on and off for 6 years. This is the worst birth control I have used. I was only on it for 3 weeks, I gained 5 pounds. I became overly emotional, my breast were so sore always. I found out I was actually allergic to this medication. I had extreme nauzia, dizzyness, blurred sight, light headed, shortness of breath, bloating, sweeling of face and toungue and h...

I began Levora about 10 months ago to help ease my endometriosis. It did minimize the pain to only the first couple days of my period, but the side effects were horrible. I became extremely depressed--anxious, nauseous, moody, crying constantly. It killed my entire sex drive, almost ruining my relationship. My social life also crumbled. I have been off Levora for the past month and feel amazing. This pill ruined my life! I almost would have rather had the endometriosis pain. And saying that means a lot. Read More Read Less

This medicine depleted estrogen in my body. They did blood work and I had 0 estrogen. I was tired, moody and had anxiety. I slept all the time! This pill was horrible for me. I have a friend and she had the same experience with Levora

Although this pill has done its job (birth control), I have had numerous side effects from taking it. I've been on the pill for over 6months and it has caused me acne, basically no sex drive, and vaginal dryness which is probably the worst thing to happen from this pill. I've encountered SO many problems from taking this and I'm so excited to switch.

I normally just take whatever Planned Parenthood can give me for free. I've never been disappointed. Not only have I never been pregnant, but these pills are clearing up my skin after the NuvaRing made my face break out like crazy.

Tried it for 4 months. The first two months i got full periods every two weeks, mood swings and nausea. Then spotted all month for the next two months. My sex drive stayed the same and i did not gain weight. But its made my sex life very difficult obviously.

This particular "formula" works great for me. No side effects, no weight gain, and produces normal cycles like clockwork. Only issue is I'm now over 50 and have to do something else!!

I started this BCP a month ago, and I have never used any kind of birth control prior to this. So far, I've found it a pretty easy transition. My skin has cleared a bit since taking the pill, and I haven't noticed any weight gain (if anything I have a reduced appetite). The first week I started, my period was extremely prolonged, but my second period has been extremely light so far. I am still experiencing cramps, though they aren't quite as bad. I don't think this pill has altered my mood, though I do think I have a decreased libido. Read More Read Less

Was on this pill for 9 months and can't take it anymore. I thought the initial side effects would get better the longer I took it, but instead they only worsened. I've gained at least ten pounds, tearing up and crying for no reason, or for very small things, severe anxiety and bad depression where it became difficult to function on a daily basis. Constantly worrying about getting sick and dying. I wanted to hold out on changing pills until my annual check up in three months but it's to an unbearable point. Going to see the doctor in two days to get this sorted out. Wish me luckRead More Read Less

Well, it helps with my abnormal bleeding, but I gained so much weight so fast. And it seems impossible to lose any. It sucks because if I don't take it I risk losing too much blood, but if I take it I have to be forever fat unable to lose. UGH.

I started on Levora 2.5 weeks ago and so far okay. I had originally been on Aviane 28 which made me BLEED and BLEED and bad cramps daily for 4.5 weeks before i Decided enough is enough. So once I got on Levora, it seemed great because no bleeding, cramps, or anything. However, now I have become exhausted, moody, irritable, cry easily, and my acne has returned (it went away on Aviane). Not sure if I will stay on it or not. Probably wil give it 3 more weeks try but at this point, I don't feel moitvated to do anyhting these days :( Read More Read Less

Pill is super effective for not getting pregnant. Though I have experienced the worst depression of life; anxious, moody, crying, incapable of normality. Also decreased sex drive. It was easy to use and never was worried about being pregnant, period was short-3 days. no acne. minimal weight gain. Not worth the unhappiness.

Before I get into the list of side effects that caused me to get off this drug within 2 months, I only took it for birth control - I am a healthy woman with regular periods, clear skin, and very rare mood swings or other PMS symptoms. On Levora, I was a fat, depressed, irrational, irritable, sobbing mess. I have IBS that is triggered by stress and hormone levels, and the IBS symptoms were much worse. My skin broke out, my appetite increased, my breasts were swollen and tender, and I got yeast infections. If you have any lower GI problems or are prone to depression, do not take this drug. Birth control is right - it thoroughly killed my libido. If you are under a lot of stress or going through a life transition, do not take this. It nearly ruined my honeymoon. In fact, forget hormones. One word: Essure. Look it up. Saved my life.Read More Read Less

I've tried many birth control pills and with this one, I have not gained weight, my acne has been under control and my mood swings are average (as they were without any pill). I have been taking this for about 2 years now.

I am taking this medication to prevent the heavy bleeding and awful cramping. Now about two years later, I have been bleeding for two weeks with cramps. I am only supposed to have four periods a year since I am on the 28 day packs at four packs at a time. I am starting to worry as far as why I am still bleeding when I had my last normal period at the end of December and now it is the 30th of January and I have been bleeding since the 17th. I see my doctor tomorrow morning and hope she can give me some good explanations. Read More Read Less

I've been on this for a little over 6 months now and it has been amazing. I have tried so many different birth controls that this is a miracle(Nuva Ring, OrthoTricylin Lo, OrthoTricylin, etc). I have had no acne, no mood swings, my periods have been shorter and much lighter(I'm taking this on a 12 week cycle), and I have had no cramps or PMS during this time. Everyone has different problems when it comes to birth control, but so far this has been the best one I have ever used and I will not stop using it for quite some time. I have had a little weight gain and breast enlargement, however that may be more due to my genetics(large breasts) and college food consumption. I have experienced almost no nausea on this birth control, unless I take it without food or water. It also has not lessened the effectiveness when I take it a few hours late. This is also the very first birth control with no scares, which is fantastic. When I am on the sugar pills it does take about 4 or 5 days for my period to actually start, but when you're not having a period for about three months, this isn't really a problem. I would recommend this pill to people who are looking for something that is not low dose, and also that are looking for a cheap alternative to Seasonique(this is what my gynecologist recommended to me). I see a lot of negative side affects that may lead you to not use this, but for me, it's been quite amazing. I tried tricyln ortho, and I had the most awful experience. With this, I've had some issues in the beginning, but my acne has basically disappeared, I've lost weight, and my periods are nice. Plus, no babies. Love it! Recommend to anyone who had bad side affects with Triclyn.

This birth control was horrible. I took it for 6 months made me cry all the time, I would get moody and angry at everything and everyone. Almost ended my relationship with my b/f because of the way it made me act. It works by not getting you pregnant but other than that I would not take this birth control.

It was a good form of birth control but it made me cry over every little thing. I am not someone to cry in front of people, but it was hard not to cry on this pill. I cried probably three times a day. Also, my appetite increased significantly. I never got full no matter how much I would eat. Therefore, I gained a lot of weight and fast. It seemed impossible to lose any weight at all. Did help boob growth very quickly so that was a big plus!

I have been on this for about 2 years now and love it. My cycles are extremely regular and light. I know I will start Saturday morning and finish completely no later than Tuesday evening. Acne has always been an issue for me but overall I would say it has helped a bit.
