I am 49 y/o and have suffered w/ this problem for 30 yrs. Aciphex is the ONLY drug that has worked for me. Very expensive. My insurance co. has just raised my deductible, but there isn't anything close to this product. I love it and have suggested to friends to talk to thier doctor about getting them on Aciphex also.

Terrible name. I'm glad to hear it works for many, but I wish they found a better name then one that sounds like special effects for your rear. "A** F/X". Not the best. Everyone that watches this commercial that I know has noticed this, especially if it's on in the background and they hear the name. Oh well, as long as it works it can be called anything.

Began having a very stiff neck and shoulders about a week after taking it. Had "flu-like symptoms, but without fever. Two days after stopping the med. all of the other symptoms disappeared. Anyone else have these kinds of side-effects.

My doctor gave me a couple bottles of samples for like 20 days. I had heartburn only a couple of times while on this medince but I think that's because I ate foods that I shouldn't of. But it did improve my heartburn because I would always have a constant burning feeling in my throat. Sadly I went to the doc yesterday to get a prescription for it and found out my insurance doesn't cover it. I am going to get a prescription for nexium on Monday. If anyone is thinking of trying this drug or is just on the the samples to see if it helps, I would suggest calling your health insurance provider to see if it is covered. I thought for sure aciphex would be covered with my insurance since I have military. But no I guess it is just too expensive.Read More Read Less

Even with a change in diet, and eating small meals, I get bloated and have a lot of gas. Other drugs have not resolved my erosive esophogitis, so I will continue with Aciphex unless these side effects worsen.

I took this for about three months. Sleeping on an incline and dietary changes (no pop, caffeine or alcohol) relieved pain that was so bad I thought I had a heart problem.

Aciphex has stopped my acid reflux. If I miss two daily doses, I will immediately start in with burning pain and reflux. I am concerned I have been on this medicine for 6 years.

In addition to GERD, I found relief for many other stomach issues I have had since youth. Yet, Ins Co pushing to change me to formulary med Prevacid; after reading these reviews, I am inclined to refuse. It is more important that the condition not return. If I am sick, I won't be saving any money, just spending it on different things. I had already tried the formulary drugs and would not have needed Aciphex if they had worked initially. Aciphex has changed my life and has helped me to lose weight, sleep better, and many many other advantages. except too expensive.Read More Read Less

I have been using this medication for several years now and have discovered this is the only treatment that has not had any of the side effects common with other treatments: No diarrhea, no sudden urges to go to the bathroom, etc. One comment that should be mentioned, though: Skipping or ending treatment with this medication has brought the reflux back with a vengeance. I am resigned to the fact that this will be a life-long treatment, but as log as it continues to work as well as it does, I will continue taking it.Read More Read Less

I have been experiencing stomach pain, vomiting and massive heartburn. My Dr prescribed Aciphex and the condition went away. I stopped taking the Aciphex and was ok for about 2 weeks. Then the symptoms came back again. Started taking Aciphex, and they went away. I cannot live without this. Its great for Reflux and stomach ulcers.

I had chest pain, especially after eating, and sometime had reflux that I could feel, and Aciphex has completely treated my symptoms, better than some others.

It works immediately! I love it. I have been on it for several years and if I miss a couple days, I am OK...as long as I don't get carried away with the spicey food or caffeine and carbonation. Before, I was miserable 24-7 from my condition

I tried a number of other medications - both over the counter and prescription - to control my recurring, severe heartburn. This one is the only one that worked effectively.
