I was on 100 mcg of Synthroid for over a year, and although my TSH levels were spot-on, I still suffered from several symptoms of hypothyroidism. The main thing Synthroid could not level out, for me, was the chronic fatigue. It was incredibly frustrating, and every day I would wake up tired. Then, when nighttime rolled around, I had the most difficult time falling asleep and staying asleep. The ch...

I have been on Nature-Throid for just under a year. It's been very, very difficult to time the two doses with each other and with food. There has been a great improvement in my original symptoms (been on Levothyroxine for several decades) but I wish it were easier to coordinate with the rest of my life!

Used another natural brand of thyroid and had to stop due to lack of insurance and finances. Got on Nature-Throid just over a year ago and LOVE IT!

No side effects. Took synthetic first, awful side effects, mainly stiffness. None with this.

I felt the difference in a few days. It was amazing. I feel better, I am not in a fog, I have tremendous energy. WoW! I have been in a slump for a few years and finally changed doctors. She is great.

After years of struggling with exhaustion and a foggy brain and TWO MDs telling me my thyroid is normal, BUT prescribed Levothyroxine which only made me feel worse, an Naturopath put me on Nature-Throid and Iodine and my whole world changed! Shame on allopathic medicine for not testing T3 and T4 in addition to TSH!

Switched to Nature Throid almost 3yrs ago. No more waking up tired and a lot of energy that I have not had in many years (over 15 yrs of low thyroid). Feel like a new woman. A year ago I added a low dose of iodine to my diet and the two nodules I had: one went away and the other is fading away. Also my dose was lowered after adding the iodine. Which means my thyroid is beginning to work again. I do not take the iodine at the same time. I take iodine after 3pm. No side effects whatsoever from either. I have far more energy since adding the iodine. Dr. Brownstein's book: Iodine, Why You Need It is a good read. He suggests Nature throid also. No other thyroid meds have helped me like Nature throid.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed this medication last month and the treatment effects have been awesome...yet, I noticed welps and a rash today! I am highly allergic to it! Just a warning for you to be aware of the side effects of all medications. Now on to a new medication to watch...

My dr sold me this pill out of his office. Unregulated. My body did not need it. 5 yrs unnecessary nature throid and a change of dr that then prescribed levothyroxine. I almost died. I do not have anything to say about a dr that prescribes any form of a uneccessary hormone, unregulated by a pharmacy or peer group and almost kills a patient. NOTHING. IAM STILL RECOVERING FROM THIS MALPRACTICE AND MAD AS HELL.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroid (in addition to low estrogen and progesterone) about one month ago. I don't have a basis for comparison with synthetic meds, but I have to say, even after three weeks of treatment, it has made a huge difference. The biggest one, is that I have my energy back! Also, after years of ALWAYS being cold, I am warm (I no longer have to soak in the tub just to warm myself up before bed). If these are the positive side effects after only 3 weeks, I can't wait to see how I will feel after a few months! I also feel pleased that I am not putting a bunch of synthetic chemicals in my body. I honestly never expected this to make a difference and I am pleasantly surprised. Read More Read Less

Thyroid removed May 2014. I had been on Synthroid for years and it was a roller coaster ride. I was a wreck. During an MRI on my upper back and neck nodes were found. Three uncertain needle aspirations later I said, "Get it OUT!" They did find "abnormal cells" and were concerned it might be cancer. Not cancer, not Hashimotos but LIKE Hashimotos...huh?! They never did diagnose me but things went to heck soon after removal. Hair loss, skin rashes, fatique, brain fog and depression...my Synthroid doses went from 100 to 125 to 112 to skip one a week...I was non-functional. I think I might have been allergic to Synthroid! A few weeks ago I went into my "long time no see" homeopathic hormone Doc and he put me on Naturethroid. Things got worse before they got better but I can only imagine how bad I would be today if I had not switched. I am getting better by the day and I am so grateful for this medication! Hang in there and give it a chance to work so you can experience hope and health like me!Read More Read Less

I switched to Naturethroid from Armour. I was on Armour for three years and before that on Synthroid for fifteen. Armour as a natural desiccated suppresses your TSH, so my TSH stayed really low as with Armour. My T3 went up to limit and my T4 remained middle to low range. I feel quite good. It restored my feelings of hunger and alleviated constipation. My metabolism definitely feels better on desiccated because on Synthroid, I never actually felt hunger in the pit of my stomach, and just felt light-headed, which is how I knew to eat. I don't see a huge difference between this and Armour--both are effective. Read More Read Less

I feel good in my body with Synthroid I had problem in adjusting the dosage. I could never tolerate the prescribed dosage. So i felt tired if it is less or racing heart and agitated if it low. Now I feel so much better.

I never responded to chemical formulas of Thyroid meds. Amour Thyroid use to work until reformulation. For awhile I ordered from Canada. When I heard about Natur-Throid I tried it now for 6 months and so far very pleased. Feel good, sleep well, very thankful for this.
