I have not experienced any further symptoms of AF since starting Tikosyn. What I have experienced is difficulty getting certain other medical procedures completed because of the medication interaction problems. Dental procedures requiring local anesthetics are not possible since I can not use any of the "cains". Treatments for skin problems that might have steroids in them can not be used as st...

Did 3 days in the hospital with 90% freedom from afib. I was filled with hope! Two days after I left, afib returned full force. Darn it! Will continue med until I see the Dr. again for re-evaluation. Perhaps with time Tikosyn will work as hoped. Until then, thump, thump flip and flop. :(

I was given Tikosyn after several years of going in and out of Afib, even after cardioversion. I stayed three days in the hospital and have been in normal sinus rhythm since then. I do notice occasional palpitations and I am frequently tired, but I also have Muscular Dystrophy, so that probably contributes greatly to tiredness. My only problem is that my copay for this med is $70.00 per month and it is one of eight meds I regularly take so it's expensive.

I have every reaction possible with this drug but am afraid to stop taking it because I do not want the irregular heart beat anymore, I am nauseated, extremely tired but can not sleep. Severe head pain, leg, foot, hip hand & arm pain. Also upper back pain so severe that it takes my breath away & almost always sinus infection, bronchitis & constant cough.

A-fib 18 years, maze procedure 2yrs 11mos ago then suddenly went back in to A-fib. In the last 8-10 have been shocked 7 times - never worked for me. I have only been on Tikosyn 2weeks but it has done the best job for me of any meds so far. Do have bloating. Check Pfizer had a $10 co-pay card if you qualify.

I have been on Tikosyn for 1 month. Since beginning the treatment, I have had bloating and weight gain. Most of my clothes are no longer wearable, despite a severe restriction of calories (less than 1000/day.) I have had tingling in my hands and feet that wakes me up every day early in the morning. My doctor is not taking my complaints seriously, but it has been very frustrating. I want to stop the medicine ASAP. It's not worth it.

Have had Afib for over 35yrs. 3 ablations limited success. Have taken for 5 years have one episode of afib about every 6 months. Sometime self convert but have to cardio convert is over 24hrs. Just hope it keeps working, other drugs work for a year or two then not. This my last stop before a pace maker.

This medication has worked wonders in keeping my heart in regular rythem BUT has been a very difficult medication to get. Only certain drug stores carry it and it has to be ordered directly from Pfizer by the drug store taking a few day to come in. i am on 375mcg which is not made in this med, they only make 125mcg,250mcg and 500 mcg so I need multiple pills, again more than one copay and alot of pills to take each day sincce it is a twice a day med.

I was hospitalized for the required 3 days to be monitored while taking this medication. I had been in persistent afib. I went in to normal rhythem within 8 hours of my first dose.I've been on it for one year. I am not having any problems with this medication.

I have been on Tikosyn - 500 mg., 2X a day since March and have gone from chronic A-Fib to normal Sinus rhythm. I'm doing well except that I have extreme fatigue about 3 hours after taking Tikosyn & can't keep going & have to stop & take a nap. I'm curious as to whether anyone else has this side effect. I'm not overweight, a non-smoker, but do have COPD.

I have been having problems with atrial fib for 30 years. I had a maze procedure 13 years ago and had to take drugs to keep my heart in rhythm. Eventually, they all quit working. Have been taking Tikosyn for the past year and it has successfully kept my heart in rhythm.

I started Tikosyn almost one year ago and for the most part, it has worked very well for me. I had two ablations and a cardioversion along with a host of medications over a five year period but nothing really worked until I was started on Tikosyn. I still have occasional break outs but I can usually identify the cause and I've never been in a-fib for more than 24 hours since starting Tikosyn. It's expensive but my health insurace covers it. No side effects and approaching one year since this was prescribed. A game changer for me. Read More Read Less

I was on several other meds prior to this and kept going into a fib, on this I have been in A fib twice that had to be cardioverted. I am also on Pradaxa to prevent blood clots. Dr is satisfied with the results.
