It seems to be lowering my bp off and on but I am always tired and I can't even predict my periods any more. I have been taking this for 3 month. I have to take this at night because it make me extra tired. I have also noticed headaches and swooshing sounds behind my ears.

I'm always tired, I've had constant swelling in my ankles and legs. My gums have been swollen for a while just had a new dentist tell me the other day it's from this drug. My Doctor has tried many other drugs this was the first one to effectively work on my BP. Going to see if there's something else. No side effects to my love life as I've seen other people say btw. ;)

I have been taking Nifedial for my blood pressure after giving birth to my daughter . The side effects I have witnessed is severe migraine headaches, swollen legs and ankles with pain, and a rash on both legs.

I take 60mg a day to lover my bp after having a baby in December, I feel really tired all the time, I have no energy,my head hurts 24/7 , my enkles are swollen and and I have a dry cough. This med lowers my bp but recently it just does not help at all. The las reading was 160/91 , the side effects are just terrible, the problem is that I am overseas and wont be back until the end of the mounth. Wen I was given this med I did not get any diuretic wich is what a doctor here asked me . Does anyone knows if a diuretic has to be taken with Nefidical? 30mg dose works decently to lower pressures with minimal dizzyness. When I went up to the 60mg I felt like my head was floating above my body and I couldn;t take care of my kids. Back down to the 30 now with a strict diet and exercise routine and my numbers are doing better.

Raynauds: With a 30mg dose, it has made my Raynaud's less difficult this winter. Before the med, my fingers would go white with any chill (could be 50 degrees out) and wouldn't come back easily without exposing fingers to warm water or car heater vent for several minutes. My fingers still get cold, but stay red longer (they hurt) and if they do go white and numb, I can get them back to red more easily.

Since beginning medication I have had problems with muscle spasms but it keeps my blood pressure down.

Have been taking the medication for several years - it does lower blood pressure but also (now) causes contipation, irregular bowel movements, sometimes not for days. Also has caused a very brown blotching of skin from mid calf down to the feet.

One side effect listed is rapid heart beat, I have this BP 117/78 but Pulse 81-86.

I am also taking a statin and another high blood pressure drug, but since I started this drug I have had swelling in my legs and feet, and cannot sustain an erection. It is ruining my sex life. It might keep my blood pressure low, but my quality of life is even lower.

nothing else worked for me, was on soooo many meds that it was thought that nothing could help. b/p was in the 200's,this med takes my pressure to an acceptable number...only thing is that i have a terrible hacking dry cough that has never goes away, now i have to be on a nebulizer and a pump...but overall i would prefer this to a stroke at 37!!!

I sweat profusely when warm, had problem with heat exhaustion in a hot environment. Tired all the time, sleeping 10 hours a night and still sleepy during day. Don't want to do anything and my house is a mess. I suspect it is depression, even though I am on Paroxetine.

Sowellen of the legs, ankle. Gas and incosistance vowel movement.

I'm taking this with enalapril and HZTC and is controlling my blood pressure. It ranges from l10's to mid 120's and so far not experiencing any side effects. I was taking Cozaar and Hyzaar but the side effects were freaking me out; got off that and back to meds mentioned above.

Gradually over the 3 years on this medication my gum, reseeded as well as a problem of bleeding gum when ever I brushed my teeth. This rare side effect only effects less than 1% of the population.

I have lower BP and no side effects. I take it once a day along with atenelol. Just great!
