While I have only been on this med for a short period of time, it is the easiest Iron supplement to take. No stomach upset! This is a first for me, as a the very least I suffer from nausea and often vomit with other iron supplements. I hope it is effective in raising my iron levels.

My FERRITIN level is 5 (range 20-288) IRON, total is 35 (range 40-16-) Both are still in decline. I'm taking one cap per day but dosage on package says 1 or 2 caps per day so I'm increasing to 2.

My Iron went from 5 to 12. Has stayed up after starting 1 Poly, 1 folic, 1 B12, 1 vitamin C twice daily. I indured 2 separate 4 unit blood transfusion one in2006 an 2012. levels were 5.6then 6.8. But the combo of 4 vitamins.once dly got me to a 9. Got to a 14 after 3 years at twice dly. Side effect Constipation .but not like with other Irons. I would recommend it.

Taken off and on. One or two pills per day. A little constipation is only issue but worth it not to have nausea from OTC iron tabs. Taking now to rebuild iron stores.

I became severely anemic due to a combination of factors. I had excessive bleeding from uterine fibroids and also had iron malabsorption following gastric bypass surgery. I was taking 300 mg of iron daily and it still was not enough. I was given a series of iron IV's to get back to normal levels. On the advice of the hematologist, I began taking the Poly-Iron 150 Forte capsules with a vitamin C supplement to help my body to absorb the iron more easily. He said this would help compensate for the missing digestive acids from the bypassed portion of my stomach. The fibroid issue was also resolved. My iron levels are now normal.Read More Read Less
