It controls asthma very well but the side effects are not worth it. If you must take this have your Dr. put you on one of the osteoperosis drugs to keep your bones strong(if you have heart problems then at least take extra calcium) I was not told any of t...

Works well. Do no need my rescue inhaler unless I get a cold and it triggers an exacerbation. No side effects.

I have had asthma my entire life and had gotten to the point i couldn't walk across a room because i was so short of breath. Advair saved my life. I now ride spin bikes, jog and can do anything I want without any problems. The cost out of pocket without insurance would be unimaginable is the only down side.

I've had asthma since childhood. I'm now 65. There were some horrible medications and a good one which was taken off the market. Advair relieves my symptoms righteously. I use it seasonally as my asthma is allergy related.

I was just switched over to this diskus. Eh...not impressed. Asthma is still not under control. Use of it is awkward, I will give it longer but not sure if this will be something for me on the long term. I prefer Qvar and Albuterol.

This drug makes it harder for me to breath. It causes extremely dry mouth and throat, causing continuous clearing of the throat.. I have muscle cramps and thick mucus.

I had terrible music cramps with Advair, but it's the only drug that controls my asthma (combined with Singulair). My doctor let me take a muscle relaxant for the cramps and they have gradually faded away. I took Tizanidine, which works well for me w/o making me groggy your mileage may differ. ??

For the first time, it allowed me to live without my rescue inhaler. While I was on the higher dose, I would pick up infections easily. So I switched to a lower dose and that fixed the problem. Always make sure you rinse your mouth after each puff!!

This, along with Spirva and ProAir as a rescue inhaler have been a "miracle" treatment for me. My only complaint is the high co-pays for all these. Each is $45.00 per month. I'm on Medicare and have reached the "doughnut hole" so for the rest of the year I have to pay more than $200.00 for Advair and Spiriva! My doctor is trying to help me with samples but the drug reps are leaving fewer samples! I guess it's easier to let us die so they can maintain they're bottom line profits.

I've only been using 2x day for a month....I can't sleep and am very 'hoarse' during the day. going to give it another month to see if I'm getting any relief for my symptoms before I call the DR as what I'm reading is normal side effects

Have been using Advair for 6 years, helps the breathing but I have developed aortic stenosis and cataracts. Have stopped taking it and am using only Ventolin. It is criminal the way these doctors and drug companies are allowed to behave.

I have been on advair for a year and this is the most relief that I have had in years! Between a great doctor understanding your needs and the medicine things are finally in working order.

I am having muscle spasms in my back and my legs after stopping Advair Diskus 250/50.Not sure if the combo of Advair Diskus 250/50, antibiotics, recue inhaler and prednisone got me over the wheezing.I have emphysema which enhanced my condition of acute bronchitis and sinusitis which led to the Doctor prescribing Advair Diskus 250/50.

I am a non smoker. 3 yrs ago I had a chronic cough and was started on 100/50. It seemed to help my cough until recently. My cough returned. I was using albuterol 5-6 times a day. A new Dr increased Advair to 250/50. Cough is gone. But Advair has made me very SOB. Never experienced this before. The rest of my health is OK. Anyone else had this issue?
