I have been bi-polar for decades, and Geodon with Effexor have stabilized my mood changes. I no longer have depression or manic episodes.

I took Geodon for 5 years. I started at 40mg a day and increased it to 160mg a day over the course of a year. For the first few months, it was incredibly difficult. I was completely sedated and would sleep minimum 13-14 hours a day. It was near impossible for me to work let alone take care of my 2 year old son. I do not like this drug. I took it twice, both at night and the following day was HORRIBLE. I had weird feelings in my legs and whole body. It's been about 3 days since I've last taken it and I still feel odd. Geodon is a great, stabilizing medication, if you are a professional and want to be productive. Although, it is not a quick solution. You have to be patient and give it a long time to work.
